He's finally dead. Not by a croc, though that would have been very ironic.

May or may not be true. But it probably is.

To everyone that think's I am a complete piece of shit that for calling him a dumbass, I have this to say to you:
Steve Irwin made a name for himself pissing off animals. Do you think it was cooincidence that he was attacked, bitten, etc. practically every episode. He'd be trying wrestle an crocadile, outrun a herd of antelope, poking a pit viper with stick, or letting a shark bite attack a cage while he was in it... it was only a matter of time before something went seriously wrong???
Don't piss off these animals. There is a reason that they are living in the wild. When you fuck with them, you're bound to get fucked yourself. It is a shame he died, but you would have thought he would have learned his lesson the time he was bitten by a black mamba. ...or the time the crocadile bit him. ...or the time he was injured in the stampede ... or the time the shark bit through the mesh suit. Or the countless other times.
C'mon guys. When you play with fire you're bound to get burned. If this was some random guy on a tourist trip i would feel a lot worse for him. Not some guy that tries to go out and piss these things off for his fucking TV show.

You're a moron, his objective is not to piss them off... His objective was to capture them so they could be moved to a better home, help them if they were injured, or engage the public about animals so that they might do something themselves to help out... Does the crocodile know letting this guy put it into a box will help it to survive? Does the black mamba know he means no harm and is only trying to help it out? Of course not. Don't be a dick.

I'm sorry, if you risk your life on a daily basis to help an animal, you're an idiot. And of course they don't know he's trying to help them. They are animals. Does that make him any smarter for risking his life every day?
Don't you think he has a responsibility to his family? If my father continually was injurred at work I would be pissed beyond belief if he didn't learn the first 8 times.
I'm a 3rd year biology student and I think he's a moron. Thats why the lab I work for tests on animals... not people. Even my PI isn't shocked by his death. We actually talked about this in lab meeting yesterday. I don't know about you but I value human life a little higher than an injurred animal. It's great that he was passionate about animals and helping them. And I'm glad that a lot of you younger guys care about conservation. But I said it before when you play with fire, you'll eventually get burned. And sadly he got burned.
I'm also waiting for Johny Knoxville to get seriously burned one of these times as well.
