There might be a thread on this already but I was wondering if any other mtns had this... Wachusett setup this vid system where they placed cameras around jumps and rails and they give you a card for free that you clip to your jacket and when you get within like 10 feet to the lip the camera gets trigged wirelessly by the card and it starts recording and then uploads the clip automaticly to a site online where you can see them and download them if you want from home. I have my own 3ccds and HD so its not really that important to me but i thought it was a pretty sick idea
ya i have used the ones at wachusset, cool idea except that the quality is a joke. when u go online u can barely make out a skier in the vids. so shitty
well you have to pay to download the high quality version, you cant expect people to go out and do that for free. Although you get like one free one or somethin like that to see how good they are before you pay and they aren't that expensive I dont think, dont really remember though
yeah i used them a few times at wachusett when i was skiing alone. its kinda cool to look back and see what you did wrong or right, but most of the time the angles were bad so you could really tell.
it wasn't wachusett that had set it up, it was some other company, and you had to pay to download the high quality version, but you could preview online. I know i made a thread on it, but i can't find it. This is one case when an advanced searchbar or view all threads by a certain member button would be really helpful.
Our mtn had this faggot dude who called himself skunkboy and he served the same purpose, except he took pics of anybody and followed around groups of snowboarders who couldnt get a 16 foot flat rail
It would be even better if they set it up all around the mountain, not just in the park. Then at the end of your day, you could have a rad video compliation of you: hitting jumps, skiing bumps, carving 3 inch trenches, and ripping though some trees. It would be like a yearbook for a ski day.
shut up! not everybody has the cash for a 16, dvx, and gl2 all at the same time. for some of us 6 grand is a lot of money, too much to be throwing at a new camera
