Okay, this has probably been discussed before, but I searched and couldn't find anything on it. Anyways, is there a good way to insure that stickers will stay on skis? Like is there something you can put over top of them to make them last longer? Or is it best just to stick them on and leave it.
It's all about th right stix - I hate ones that feel like plastic/vinyl but then explode when wet beacuse they're made of paper. I clean the zone and then sometimes rub the sticker into the skis with a nickel or something. Also, if there's any air bubbles, poke them with a pin and get all that air out or it will bug the craP OUT OF YOU and maybe start to peel
I did this with my skis and it worked all year, Blow dry the area your putting them on until HOT ad lowdry the sticker until its HOT then apply, and place somthing heavy ontop while it cools.
I put a grenade sticker on mine and its one of the vynal(sp?) stickers.
1)clean the area
2)blowdry the ski
3)apply sticker
4)blowdry
5)put weight on top
6)clear nail polish
... I never put nail polish on mine and its starting to get scraped and its starting to look shabby after 1 season, but I heard that nail polish will hold it on there reallll welll
... if you really want it to look good then use a stencil and spray it. Though I'd suggest using like laminate paper rather than cardboard so then theres no unclear spots.
