Okay so there arent a whole lot of freeskiers there but we are still serious about our park i say we all get together and confront gore and see what they can or cannot do to better improve their park post here and pm me if youre interested

Hi.

I'm leading this charge, as little as it may be.

And I can tell you, nothing will happen within the next two years.

Get over it. Go to Whiteface if you have the pass, or sack up and drive to VT.

I've been in talks with the mountain services manager at Gore, and it's not pretty. You have a wait for any big changes to happen to the mountain, park included, for a least two more years....then the growing pains of a new park will take some years to beat out to.

It's tought, and not so pretty for freeskiers.

And when I say "this charge" I'm saying gore getting a new/better park, not your thing you just thought up.

Get back in the Gore Mt. cult and bang out your ideas there.

even if they do put the time and money into it it wont be good the first few years unless they can pay someone to come and be head of park staff (you dont learn how to shape a jump perefect over night)... whitefaece is getting a lot of new things this year so id say either make the drive to it or go to vermont, you never know whiteface and gore are owned by the same people so they may share the welth but i wouldnt count on it.

I havent heard back since they said they were getting new rails and boxes and were going to have a meeting so I wouldnt count on anything yet. This year Im probably goint to do park crew and not teach so hopefully that will help. If you really want to see a change join us and we can try to make it better. As long and they didnt fire Jason there should be some hope.

Yeah, they need people to come in and train their staff how to build and maintain features. And even before that they need to find people who won't just be joining the park crew as an excuse to ride for free, they need guys to be committed. Plus, while those guys are getting trained, the mountain is unlikely to spend more money on adding features to their park. You're definitely just gonna have to head elsewhere until their park shapes up.

id be dedicated, but i aint gonna dedicate my time and not have a good final out come like jay does. One day he worked there for 20 hrs, slept in that mid mountain lodge for 4 hrs and got up the next day and did it again. and the park was still gabage

Haha, that was so dope. Nigga used both of our full names in regards to upgrading the park, to his little Gore Mountain board members and employee cronies.

Crackohead said it. No reason for them to do it, no belief in it, no funding, no ability from the State of ADKPark to span outwards.

But, I promise, this season still will be insanely epic, on so many other counts besides the park.

I just get visions of a rail garden and jib park. with a few medium sized jumps at the bottom. It would be so fun and safe and trickable and just progressive all the while being laid back and relaxed. Good one self.
