I know this should be in another forum, but I really need answers here. Something is eating my music. I recently uploaded all the music from my ipod to my computer with PodUtil. It worked great, I put it all in a music folder I made instead of the usualy My Music folder. Now at random, I'm getting the litte ! things telling me that the original file could not be found. WTF?! They appear at random. Just as I replace all the shit it cant find, (I cant find the file in the correct folder. The folder contains folders by artist, and not all of them are there.) more of the ! things appear. It doesnt discriminate, Limewire or Itunes or anyplace else. It just leaves and I cant find it. Should I put it all in my music and find it all, what should I do. SOMETHING IS EATING MY MUSIC!

What if I toasted my Itunes library, deleted all my music off my computer, remembering most of it is on my pod, and then re copied the music off the pod into one folder? I just want to see a regualr mp3 file what the hell are these folders?

Alright, sorry for my premature actions. In a futile attempt to stop this loss of precious music, I failed to realize that my unknown error, coupled with recent changes to my Itunes Library and the folders the music comes from, caused the music to simply get toasted. I made too many changes w/o knowing what was up and as a result, most of the music was put where I didn't know about, and consequently got deleted as a trash folder. Then, in anoverly ambitious attempt to copy it all back off my ipod, I reformatted my pod, thus permanantly deleting everything that I had on it to start with. This leaves me with nothing except what I downloaded today, to replace things lost to this strange apparition of music destroying hell. So now here I sit, feeling like an idiot and downloading all the music I lost. I cant however, download some of it for again, at least not for free. I had exactly $100 in purchased music, stuff you cant get on limewire, thats also gone. Fuck. This was my error. I traced it back the copy setting of PodUtil. I fucked them up somehow causing the folders, which would not have been lost had they not been folders. Fuck again, my fault. I hope you can all learn something from my shitty explanation of what happened. Fuck.
