What's the difference between the t plate thing and risers? or is there one? Can you mount t plate bindings without the t plate if you get shorter screws??

I"m pretty sure it's just a big plate that connects the fron and back pieces.

Risers just make it easier to get from one edge to the other, so most people take them off, so it's harder to catch an edge on rails.

I have risers on my Px's (idiots at Look sent me short screws for the P series), but I don't notice that much of a difference.
