MC locals theres bad news. the jiblab and the main park builders at the creek have quit and someone said they are trying to move the jiblib to the poconos. the jiblab myspace account was shut done, but before it shut there was a message also. looks like pa will be better this year afterall
www.jfbb.com check the page baby, two people who were at the Jib lab are now working at Big Boulder. They will have 50% of the mountain devoted to park, 30 new jibs and shit, and other shit.
i just read the press release today. thats really crazy. the guy who told me they were all still there was from a company that does work alot of ski areas, and was up at creek last week. he told me everything was the same. guess he was wrong..
"Jack Frost/Big Boulder Resorts have announced it has recruited two of the East Coast’s top terrain park designers to develop and launch the resorts new Parks and Pipes program. ahh fuck, the jib lab was the shit and it was the only thing creek had going for it. I mean they cant have an awesome park one year and then drop to nothing the next.
the park will not suck. it is true the top guy from jiblab left but everyone else is staying. shawn did an amazing job but I think the new guy in charge will only make creek better, he has crazy ideas for stuff.
For those wondering, we here at JibLab are alive and well... We have lost two core members of our operation, but we will persevere. Expect new innovative jibs, and flowy park layouts for the 2006-2007 season. We appreciate all the support that you; the locals have shown us over the years and we are eager to give back with a great park.
nah a lot of mountains will give creek a run for their money this year...and just to let you know im never going to creek because of the drive there...it blows
Yeah, I'm thinking there will probably be a little rivalry between Creek and JFBB. I hit them up last season and the park wasn't even close to being on par with Creek's, but this season it looks like they're really ready to step it up with I believe boulder trying to be the Bear Mtn. of the east.
Matt, you drove 8 hours both ways for a 2 hour rail jam? Gotta get the skiing in where ya can I suppose.
no park in pa will compare to creek ever thier rails are ten times nicer then anything in pa will ever have and they actually have poeple that no what there doing
