i know how to board i just like skiing better
when im working a lift u usually grab a board out of the rental shop just cause those boots are so damn comfortable and then just throw it on and ride down when im done with the shift

There is a lot of people in this thread saying stuff like 'never have, never will' and things to that effect, and I'm seriously sorry for you guys, I love skiing, and it's by far my favorite, but snowboarding is a helluva lot of fun too, and so is tele skiing, so for all you who haven't stepped into anyting bu alpine ski gear when you're at the hill, expand your mind, try everything...and not just once either, spend enough time trying to where you're halfway decent, you'll be glad you did.

i have tried it but the first day i did i ended up in a cast..shifted some growth plates  in my wrist...i decided to ski from then on...

I snowboarded for a year on and off but I like ski allot more and thats all I do now, I fell like i have more controll on skis.

i have been surfing since i was 11 years old so when skiing started to get old i switched to boarding in 95. for about 3 years i would snowboard only when there was some new snow because it made me feel like i was carving on a surfboard.

i was kinda out of the loop on skiing till i saw johnny and julien at the olympics but that was all i needed. bought some twintips and now even on a powder day i would rather ride my skis.

boardings cool and i think everyone should try both

I tried once in grade 6 for active living day. I found it to difficult, i was falling all over. But ive been skateboarding alot this summer so maybe i would be better now. Who knows

when i first started skiing, i tried snopwboarding....hated it ever since,, its impossible to get up the darn tow rope with a snowboard!!

I snowboarded for like 6 years and i sucked horribly. I just wanted to be like my big brother when I was younger cause he was really good.
The I started up skiing likeb two years ago and now i smoke him in the park and hit way bigger jumps then him

I do both... each has its advantages and disadvantages... I dont hate on snow sports. Just being at the mountain is what does it for me...
ps... I still love skiing more, but thats a personal oppinion.

i tried it for two or three days and i disliked the fact that it seems half the time your sitting on your ass waiting to go instead of going. idk but it seems like the ability to sit down while clipped in makes some boarders lazy.

Only if you want to, you can be lazy and lay in the snow on skis too, just don't sit on your fuckin' ass...bomb the fuckin' hill instead.
