Adobe premier help

sounds like i dont know anything i know but for the life of me i cant figure out how to fade in and out with adobe premier so can someone help me out thanx

I believe that if you go to transitions in the box on the top right It's called dissolve or something like that.

keyframes and transparency should get the job done as well.

I use a black color matte, and then just use a transition between that and the video...
Go File - > New -> Color Matte (or something very similar)
