that doulbe back flip to deck was the funniest thing ever and that handplant on the barrel was the sickest thing ever in a warren miller movie.

thats been out for quite some time. I see the miller movies every year, not just to see a ski movie but for the massive amounts of free swag that comes with the showings.

haha, I think they should change the name of that to Cliche. They must have just had the skiers read from a list of cheesy proverbs!

I've been going to Warren Miller movies since I was a little kid. I remember setting up for the shows in Boulder when I was 11 or 12 years old becuase my race team sponsored the Boulder showings.
It's tradition, I can't think of starting a ski season without seeing the new movie. Even today I get dizzy and light-headed when I hear Warren's voice at the beginning of a movie.
Anyone can make a ski movie, But only Warren Miller can movie that makes me get emotional.

The only thing I didn't like about the trailer is the lack of Warren Miller himself commentating. I find that it makes the movies what they are when he says his little one-liners, even if they are kinda korny, i just think it adds to the movie.

i've realized 2 things from that trailer:
1. skiing backwards on a monoski would be really difficult
2. doing any type of spin on pontoon would be really hard

I will watch it just for the little bit of pep I saw in the trailer, actauly there was a rather large amount of pep in that trailer.

agreed with everything you say there.
and in the post above that one.
basically,
i like warren miller movies.
hate all you want,
but the whole super lets watch people hit park or just throw down massive shit in the backcountry for 2 hours isn't that great.
id rather have the somewhat cinematic storylines, corny on-liners, and down-to-earth narration that you only can find in a miller movie.

Not to mention the sick avalanche footage.
One question, though. After the second skier went and the exact same aspect ripped the exact same way, what the fuck was Andrea Binning thinking, like it was a GOOD idea to drop in?
Anyhow, it was cool to see the footage that the still shot of her came from, the one with the whole world cracking around her in the Black Diamond ad (see Powder mag).
Luuucky. . . .
The only problem is that the teaser will probably be better than the full-length film. But isn't that always the way Warren Miller works. 5 years behind everyone else and 5 minutes worth of killer action all "packed" into an hours worth of time.
