Am I the only one..

that is annoyed when everyone on here says they were "filming" with their video cameras? All of these questions like "Which video camera will work best for me to film with." It seems like 90% of the time people say that. But the thing is...it's impossible to film with a video camera. Film is an actual image; there's a negative on FILM. All of the cameras that people on here most use (GL2, VX1000 etc) are VIDEO cameras. Everything is digitally recorded, and there is no film involved; it's a magnetic tape. So, please for the sake of my sanity try to say "shoot" instead of "film."

Example:
"I shot some sick footage in the park today." not "I filmed a lot of good stuff in the park today"

wait, are you saying that there is something wrong with kids filming in the parks and stuff?

So if you agree a photograph can be digital then you are wrong. You can argue that technically a photograph isn't digital.

haha i wasn't arguing that so dont call me an idiot. I was just saying that it's impossible "techincally" to film something with a video camera. If you actually read my post, and the responses below you might have realized that...so you're the idiot.

i know what youre saying but i gave up awhile ago, theres just no way on educating the masses. As you can see with all the other posts poeple just dont even care, so whatever, just try to ignore it.
