How much do Birkenstock Sandals cost in Germany?

They cost $110 USD here in the states. Are they cheaper over there because they are German or are they the same price?

They are around 30 to 40 Euros depending on the model

yeah. but birkenstocks are viewed differently over there. like, when I lived in Switzerland and wore my birkenstock sandels outside, everyone looked at me weird and called them "Hausschuhe" aka "slippers"..

I wear them to school and everywhere else in the states and no one thinks twice. So do they consider all sandals to be slippers or just birkenstocks?

A Tip for all the "slippers" wearers outside there:
Don´t wear them with white tennis socks in your "hausschuhe"!
