hey guys, alright so im gonna go get my new sticks today cuz my shop is having a huge sale called the dome. so im still a little undecided. im eitehr getting the scratch fs in a 158 or the silencer in a 159. i wen im in NY i ski 70 percent park 30 percent icy/groomers. but wen im out of NY im in all mountain. note:im going to big sky for about a week, and going to vermont for a couple days. the silencer is flexier than the fs. and its not in between a fugi and a pe. so both these skis are good in park but i need to know wuts better all mountain and mayb pow. one guy at the shop said the fs. is a ski thats made for everythything. but the silencer will be better in pow bcause it has an 85 underfoot. also i can get the silencer for 260 and the fs for 315 help me out NS.

Well as a allaround ski the fs is deffinatly the besst choice. for pow i would choice neither of those. If you only have the budget for 1 pair of skis id say get the fs, there not the best in poq but they will work

no, for the record the silencer is an 80 mm waist....
Silencer= 113-80-104
Public Enemy is an 85 mm waist at 118-85-109
no, for the record, the scratch fs is a 80 mm waist...
Scratch FS comes in a 167, 174, 181 @ 116-84-109
Scratch Pro (fs) comes in a 138, 148, 158 @ 110-80-103
^ there is no scratch fs in a 158, its the Scratch Pro, in which i own. However, the dimensions of the Scratch Pro FS may be different than the Scratch pro (2006). I just checked, and there still the same. 110-80-103..please..your just confusing people...just get the facts straight before you make your post.

both the FS and the Silencer are both marketed at more of all mountain twins...both have very silimar dimensions...both have an 80mm waist. The silencer will turn sharper, and should be about the same stifness of the FS. Just to get people in the loop, he is not buying the "Scratch FS", he is looking at the "Scratch Pro FS"-the junior model. And your shop gut gave you the wrong measurements.....just so you know.
Either way you go, you should be fine. I would try the K2's because they have a reputation for being pretty solid, but i have had no complaints with my Scratch Pros, the 2006 model. If you can get the silencers at a good price, I'd go with them. Both good skis, and you'll have fun with either.
