I'm a student at the U, but I realllly don't want to go home for the holiday break so I was thinking of trying to get a job in a lodge in LCC for that entire month. Anyone know the deal on that (if there are any places that will hire you for only a month, not the entire season)? I figured I'd apply at the pdog since I've been staying there every winter since I can remember and hopefully I'd have some luck. Buuut I don't know if it'll happen so if anyone knows anything let me know.
Well originially I did want to work for the whole season but my parents weren't down with me taking a year off between HS and college so I decided to go to the U. And as a full time student, working all season, even part time, in LCC would be a total stretch.
i doubt u could do that anywhere up in the canyon unless you've already worked up there and had some pull with management. the pdog doesnt even hire first year live outs, but goodluck anyways.
Yeah I kinda figured that my chances would be slim, if any. I keep getting mixed stories about whether or not it's feasible so I figure if it goes through I'll be lucky. Oh well, I can handle a one more winter month in Jersey I guess...
I have heard that some of the Park City resorts will hire people for just the month of december. You should just apply for a job and tell them you will work for the whole season and then quit when school starts back up in january
yeah that's what a lot of people have been suggesting (pc or saying I'd be there for the season), and it's probably the best bet at this point. I didn't want to do that at the peruvian because I'll be there every time my parents come out this season and I'd feel like a jackass if I had just dicked them over. PC may definitely work though. Thanks for the info
