I always find it amusing how people comment that people were rude or cocky when they came skiing or biking here. Do you have any idea how many international visitors we have vs. Regional? Better yet, how many Vancouver visitors vs. locals on any given day on the mountain?
Chances are you ran into snobby kids of vacation home owners. Locals are chill unless you ruin their day off or something.

alright, its sick. pretty much you arent going to get bored on the hill. the nightlife...go to the village and you will find SOMETHING to do, whether its finidng out about a house party, going to a club, skating, or whatever. pretty much all the locals are really chill.
its really entertaining to laugh at the families, all wearing different coloured Crocs and trying to open the garbage cans. i could do that for hours.

It's expensive as to live there. THere arent a ton of bars, so the nightlife can be a bit repetitive as you see lots of the same people. but there are TONS of tourists coming in and outs nonstop, so it's not too bad at all.

Dude- walk up to the Intrawest building on Blackcomb and you've got yourself a job 100% sure for winter. Imagine the number of employees they need for the winter... When I got there this summer I got a job as a cook within a week, lift and bike pass FULLY PAID (that is to say a 400$ gift), 9.50$ an hour, 50% off the food everywhere in the village, 20% off the gear everywhere in the village.
Going to to Whistler is a necessary lifetime experience for a skier. Not all that's left is for me to return during the actual winter, goddamnit. When I left in August my boss told me to come back during the winter and I had a job assured 100%.
And the party scene... don't even ask. Just go in the village at night, a little drunk. You'll end up arriving at your house at ten in the morning, still the most drunk you've been in your life. Jeah.

I have already begun my research for next year when I do this, after I graduate.
you see there's this kid at whistler that I know who has a basement suite with full utilities and the lot, who pays about 300 a month for it along with another roommate who never is there.
my plan, is to kill them both.
