Ive been working so much to try to get money. I just always feel like I need the nicest stuff. Maybe its because of where I live, the richest area in canada, but Im working too much and now I feel wicked tired all the time. I don't know what to do, is there any easy ways that dont tire you out that you can make money in?
Well, there are no really great jobs for young people. You have to eat dirt before rise to the top man. In the end you will be less spoilt for it, adn you can bitch at your kids later on and tell them how lazy they are. Plus i love working for something, like having a goal. Money is only a means to an end, in the end it is only paper and metal.
I also have an obsession for money man. People say money can't buy happiness... But it sure make being miserable alot of fun. This term in school I kinda turned into a compulsive ebayer after my gf dumped me. I bout a $350 pair of oakley glasses, a $400 camera, a $150 mp3 player, $500 speekers for my computer, ate $40 steak dinners every week, and LOTS of booze and I just generally blew alot of money. This was really really bad for me because I killed my $10 000 student line of credit in 1 term. So when your younger and don't have a killer job it's really hard. You just have to work towards a good education so you can get the stuff you want in the future,. I know I won't be completely happy unless im filthy rich, and I know for some people that may sound shallow...but atleast i'm being truthful and I'm working hard to better my future. I'm going to University working towards several degrees and my CMA (accountant) and CFP (financial planner) certifications. I know if I put the work in now it'll pay off in the future. And thats probably the best advise I can give you man.. There's nothing wrong with being obsessed with money (may not be true in some cases) but you gotta be willing to work for it usually. And if you have to bust your balls when your young, working some shitty min wage job. Maybe the best thing is to lay off and invest in an education.
the best job for college-age people is tutoring. Seriously, if you are good with kids, and know basic math and english, you can make like 17+ bucks an hour.
get over it. Get a job or learn to be happy with the money that you make. That is how life works. If you spend a lot of time worring about what other people think you will never be happy.
i see it as ultimately work even if you are miserable so you can get the things you want. like im trying to save to buy a wrx because if im always working for it I can drive it around backroads to blow off steam and relax, then just go to work the next day to pay for the gas.
yea we all love the cash flow but i work in the ski industry in the winter so i dont exactly bring in alot of the cash. In the summer however when the ski shop i work at is closed i make mad bills working construction, then live off that cash for most of the year
I do enjoy money, but not dishwashing. So I have enough money, but not like, crazy thousands. haha. Im saving up for shred gear right now. I just spent $700 in Vancouver on clothes and shit
yeah i like money too. what i've noticed is when i have a lot of money, i spend a lot of money. when i have a little money, i can go forever not really denting it. it's weird. i used to not have a debit card and saved a lot of money. then i got a debit card and the temptation to spend is crazy.
i never got spoiled by getting to buy my own shit, i always got shit but it was a surprise and i never got to pick it out ya know. so just the act of buying things is a gift to me. big purchases are a thrill. having $1000 and then not, is a awesome feeling. especially when you have something good to show for it. anyway, you're always gonna want money. it's built into your mind from birth. society functions on money and you must abide or be poor.
you can't be going into debt like the kid above with the 10,000 student credit though. that's just dumb.
Ya well I cant go in debt and I wont cause Im not stupid about that but, Ive spent 300$ on outerwear this month for skiing, bought 2 pairs of goggles, tons of clothes, a 600$ phone, and a lot of weed so Im kinda screwing myself over for when school starts and I have to cut down on hours. And Im buying a new TV for my room, anohter jacket, an Xbox 360, an Ipod, and a new sound system soon.
one good way to save money and make money at the same time is to invest it. lock it up in a GIC or bond or even stocks if you feel confident in them and watch your money grow. And because of the commision fees, you generally wont want to sell of stock just so you can buy a burger. Thats what I do, so even though i have thousands of dollars, I always find myself in need of cash.
Hah, i know what ya mean, after buying my truck, putting a sound system in and paying insurance and still buying shit every paychek, im not gonna have n e money when school starts up...
I sold skis and alot of stuff i had laying around my house.
Im up to 1,200$
Another way im making money is gankin stuff then flippin it to vendors on the streets in NYC.
Another way im making money is I bought 10 bottles of everclear, went 50/50 with water on these glass bottles I bought, slapped a homemade label on the bottle, put a shrink wrap on the top of the bottle to make it look legit. Sell it for 20$ a bottle. It cost about 5$ to make a bottle.
No, but neither is Oakville. Westmount (in Montreal) is No. 1 with an average household income around $115,000 and average price of a home over $650,000. West Van is pretty close though, average household income around $99,000 and avg home price of $1.25 million.
Oakville I'm sorry, is not there. Avg income is around $70,000, and avg price of a home is around $306,000.
wow, im the opposite. i dont spend money unless i really have to, and keep all my money in my bank account. i obnly spend on things i really want, or things i need
i think way too many people are obsessed with money and material objects. america is probably by far the worst with this, and while i can't say i don't love having money it doesn't really bother me not to have much of it.
one of my favorite quotes is - the most important things in life aren't things... if more people could understand these words i think the world would be a much happier place.
