anyone know where i can take a course in vancouver or get a job as being one... anyone who is a ski tech do you have any info like how much did it cost you to take the course and is it easy how long.. anything is helpful thanks...
I didnt have to take a course, iv been working on skis sence i was 10 so iv had lots of practise. What you should do is talk to your local shop, the shop techs and see if theres a number you can call
alright... i can wax, patch, sharpen, adjust my own skis been doing it for 2 years... but then again thats really easy stuff... so yeah i'll give them a call
yea i started as a ski shop doin bitch work in the tech room. i just picked it up from there, and now i can mount skis, adjust bindings, work the wintersteiger tuning machine and a bunch of other great shit. it aint that hard.
or i might just work the floor selling skis... thats if i get a job.. if anyones from vancouver i might apply to the comor on west 4th and burrard because i know tom there.. a skier... and the only skier that works the floors and he said they needed more people who knew skiing related products... because snowboarders are selling them who really dont know much :p
I did a workexperience course in Jr.High at a ski shop.
they taught me most of the stuff,
but a you need a binding course and some training on the machine
coles outa town now so il answer for him. Yes you can chose where you want to work, most places accept students doing work experience but not all. You best bet to get a job would be to talk to the owner, say its for work experience and its free. All they have to do i sign a weekly or bi-weekly status report on how your work ethic is
