Anthems or Invaders? please help

Ok, so i really like the invaders, but i also like the anthems. I live in Wisconsin, and only ski hard packed groomed runs. should i go with the invaders, or will i be ok on the wider anthems? Thanks

yea they were fixed the ones that delam are the 05/06's, so get the new ones if you decide to get invaders

i saw some kid skiing the anthems on hardpack and he liked them just fine and said they dont ride much different than the invaders

the invaders would do you just fine but the anthems would probably work just as well. so its really up to you on whether you want to spend the little extra moolah.

differnt between the 2. Invader is 83mm at the waist, Anthem is 93mm at the waist. you like thinner park skis? get invader (they wont delam anymore) you like wider park skis and sweet graphics? get anthem (they're the best park ski ever)

anthems and invaders are cheap. everysingles one of my friends who bought then cracked the tips and had to ski with duck tape for the rest of the year. if u are into line get cronics. there a sturdy ski and the graphic this year is better then anthem ands invader

If your on the lighter side of the scale 100ish-130ish you would probably like invaders more, anywhere above that it can go either way depending on how wide/stiff you like your skis. Invaders are definitely lighter and slightly more flexible. Either way, you will most likely adjust to the ski in 3 days or less and not notice width or weight differences.

i like how everybody tells u something different, u need to make up ur own mind cause ur gonna be the one skiing on them, read up on each of them, then make a decision. Plus both are prolly gonna be sick and great skis for u, so not a HUGE deal

it depends where ouy are in Wisconsin.


if your just on short hills down south near Milwaukee you dont need to worry about a ski that carves and you should get the anthem

first off, fat skis are skiable anywhere...as long as you are a good skier, you can make anything turn. I live in VT and use Seth Pistols as my everyday/everywhere ski. Enough of this "fat skis should only be used in the powder" bullshit. Snowboarders ride there "fat boards" everywhere, no matter where they live.

But to answer your question, I can't answer it. It all depends on what you want in a ski. The only thing I can say is demo them both if you get the chance.

from what i've heard on here and at a shop...the anthems are so close to the same flex as the invader that its not even a comparable issue...and considering the dimensions are 10mm wider at tip/waist/tail, it might be a LITTLE bit harder to initiate turns, but in the long run they'll still have the snowboard-like feel and flex of the invader...so its really up to you in the end...do you want a skinny flexy ski, or a wider flexy ski?? the anthems are gonna give you a bit more surface area aka stability on rails and if there does by chance end up being a bit of fresh snow...you can throw down in it on the anthems too...but the invaders are wide enough to do that also!! OMG!! WHAT A DILEMA!!!! i know im getting the anthems this year...just cuz im a bigger guy (6'1" 180lbs)

get invaders. I really don't think you need the extra waist if you're skiing hardpack... Plus I skied mine in deep snow plenty of times and they were fine.

and honestly...boo fucking hoo if your tips delam...its called USE RIVETS!! costs like nothing and works like mad and boom, never ever have to worry about delamming tips on any ski ever made

so which would be a more suited park ski, the anthem or invader. i am not talking about flex or anything, merely the width, since both have the same flex. I haven't riden a fatter ski before and i am looking to get one of these two skis so i was wondering how big the difference is when you ride.

oh ya i am 5'7" and weigh bout 120 pounds. if that'll help.

Seriously in your case I think the only factor that acctually matters is which ski comes closer in your length. They may be the same lengths too so I dunno
