What is CAB

i have herd alot of descriptions of cab and im not sure which one it is. i have been told it is switch unatty spinnig also it is carving on the lip and that it is spinning with a grab. does anybody wkow what it really is.

its a super technical term to describe a super technical thing...its very complicated and only the top ten freeskiers in the world actully know its true meaning. I am very fortuante to know what it means due to my connections throughout the ski industry...I will summerize it for you in the most precise and accurate maner: In summery a CAB means that you are a NOOB.

CAB - my initials...

But seriouslyy for snowboarding cab = a switch spin over 360
and a 180 is a half cab

Nothing makes me more upset than when poeple use CAB while describing skiing tricks... cab is taken from snowboarding...snowboarding takes it from skateboarding. SKateboarding gets it from Steve Cabaellro. who became known for doing all his tricks backwards or the opposite way he used to ride so CAB, became Skiings SWITCH for skateboarding...and then snowboarding.


I think that it sucks that people use CAB for skiing... it is just one more thing people steal from snowboarding and use it to influence skiing. Why cant people say Switch or just Backwards, makes perfect sense. then kids wouldnt be asking what cab means... or when people use it and they dont even know the history.

^yeah i do... Alot. all the grabs and pretty much everything.
but it pisses me off when people use it and they dont even know why. and thanks for calling me a dumbfuck, made my morning.

cab means switch frontside in snowboarding.

cab = fakie 360 (fakie being switch/nollie)
halfcab = fakie 180

so technically it deosnt apply to skiing at all because we cant ride nollie. its a trick name, not a modifier. you can do a cab.
