just curious as to whom people thought was the most irrelevant pro. that is, the pro who has the least influence on the sport, who is just there enjoying the ride, who bites the style of other riders. I think there are certainly a few pro shreds out there like this, so, any personal opinions as to who they might be?

I didn't mean it that way, its just that you don't see the female pro skiers going as extreme as the guys. Not in a sexist way, but its just how it is. You can't expect the same performance from a female pro and a male pro. It's just the way things are. You don't see Burke going as high in a pipe as Tanner, do you.

I dont think hes talking about Pollard in a bad way. you cant diss him, pollard is one of a kind and unique, with some of the most innovative styles and tricks, as well as equiptment. so i think hes separating pollard and making him so called irrelevant because of that uniqueness and progression.

You can't even think about saying Pollard. So many people's definition of steeze is whatever trick or spin with the least unnatural and jerky movements. Watch pollard do a 540 in the backcountry and it looks like he's on a rotating podium just chillin' in the sky.

Well, firstly my post was directed to the thread creator...
but well, on that note, uh, yes. Yes you can.
I think the number of skinny, underdeveloped male skiers alone are enough to justify that well, skiing isn't exactly a sport that demands alot of testosterone or a superior amount of muscle. It's a performance sport in the same way that like, figure skating and dance and shit are. (stupid comparison, but fundamentally it's hard to argue). It doesn't take much muscular strength to do most tricks skiers do. It takes mental determination and natural/developed style. It's not like guys spin faster because their genitalia propels them or anything like that, it's because they've been raised and encouraged all their lives to fucking send it. There's no reason that women shouldn't be skiing on the same level, or a higher level than guys are. The only reason women are held back in terms of physical performance, is because we've let ourselves become held back, and anti-female (please don't flame me for that, it's the only real suitable adjective) attitudes continue to halt female progression.
