I have the 175 TMs, but I'm thinking about getting a pair of 182 Laroses. Has anybody tried both lengths? I can't imagine that there will be much difference other than a bit more stability. Any opinions?
I charge an extra $100 for the sick Calvin and Hobbes pic painted on the back of my skis... kidding
Not sure if I want to sell my TMs... bit of a sentimental value to them seeing as how they're my first pair of sticks. But who knows, might flip them depending on how I feel.
Anybody interested in buying a pair of Laroses? They'd be unmounted.
Where do you have them mounted? Because I grew up skiing on non twin tip skis, skis mounted close to center ski very short for me. I have ridden a pair of center mounted 180 cm twins and they didn't feel any different than my TMs, which are mounted at recommended. If you centermount, it won't be a big deal.
P.S. How tall are you? I'm only 5'10" and I have no problem handling 180cm midfats.
I've skied on 187 carving skis before. I liked the stability of them that's for sure. Guess I'm just looking for some affirmation before I jump on these skis. Kind of hard to pass up a pair of new skis for $200.
Another question is whether I should pay an extra $50 for the 175 Belangers or just stick with the Laroses at $200... hmmm...
the laroses are quite a bit stiffer then the tms. i went from 175 tms to 182 laroses. the laroses are sick if you like a park ski on the stiffer end of the spectrum
I think I'm sold on the 182s now... but damn, my credit card is taking a raping this month. If the 182s are in fact stiffer, then it's what I'm looking for.
