Do you ski for fun? or to film?

I find that these days lots of kids will refuse to hit a table, or hit a rail unless there is a camera present. what happened to the idea of skiing for fun? granted many people (i, myself included) find the film making process to be very enjoyable, but why cant people just go out and shred with a few buddies anymore?
what are your thoughts? do you guys ski for fun? or do you ski to film.

both - it's fun to film while skiing, adds a whole new degree of difficulty!

i ski because it's fun. But it never hurts to have a camera around. I'm not gonna lie... i think i push it a lot more if a camera is present... or maybe it's just that my friends are present... either way, it never hurts. you can watch the footy, learn stuff, and laugh when you bail.

Haha we have a trip up to a moutnain we never go to and we're like, "Oh man we're going to film so much!" Then by the end of the trip we probobly took out the camera once or twice. Personally, I ski for fun, same with my friends and camera or no camera, I'm going to push myself just because it's fun.

the best part is when kids are putting together their "promos" and you just go up and make them look like fools in a chill train with your friends

I have the most fun when I just fuck around, mostley because its sillay and I'm afraid of heights. But if theres someone filming, then I'll try something cool. And when I'm filming, I hope the skier does his best too, unless the shot is supposed to be a joke.

I only film when it dosen't prevent me from skiing exactly what I want. so i don't film that much as a result I'm gonna make an effort this year to film more and still ride a ton

i ski for fun, but sometimes if there is a big jump that i am kind of scared to do it is nice to have someone film it like gives me more courage to do bigger things and try new stuff.

a lot of times me and the kids i ride with just ski, and we kill it (not to sound like an ass or anything). then we look back on the day and wish we had filmed. other times we bring a camera out and wish we didn't cause we just wanna screw around or no one wants to film. i think if you wanna be filmed and take turns with it, filming can be more fun than just skiing cause you get stoked on sick shots. but if you are doing it just to film and people arn't throwing down, its not that fun.

i realy enjoy the process of editing and stuff. not for promo or anything, just for fun. and of course i love to go and just bomb through the park, but i find filming brings people together alot causer we're all trying to get cool stuff on tape.

it's fun to film when you're trying something new and you want to look at it later or you may get a funny crash out of it too

skiing for fun is awesome but if feels even better when you get a cool shot and you will have it forever so i say you need to ski for fun sometimes and also film sometimes especially when it is powder

of course i ride for fun, but videographing (for all the people who get made when people say film when not actually shooting film) is also a lot of fun especially when you combine them

ill go out and try things without a camera, but if i know its hardcore camera is essential. powder skiing is the one thing that i dont need a camera to have the absolute best time of my life. just you and the snow.

i barely ever film just because its more of a hassle. you have to keep stopping all the time. i like cruising without having to wait for people to set up the camera
