Carbon/composite poles - durability?

I'm looking for some new poles, and I can get some good deals on Leki's range, including their carbon and aluminum/carbon ones. Does anyone have any bad experiences with such poles? I've bent my old aluminum ones a lot after hard crashes, but bending back into shape was never a problem. If I came down hard on a carbon pole, would it snap easily?

I've had goode carbon poles for two seasons now and they are awesome...some major crashes and still kicking. No paint left on them, but still in one piece :-)

the best poles you can get are the Kerma, they designed one that they supply to the national freestyle team, i dont know where you can find those,the only place i saw those, its in japan, and they were 150 us...

or there is the camo scott..dont know the name of the model..those are really good too...they are prolly the best you will find under 100 seriously!

I have got two aluminum poles in bad conditition but my carbon poles have last well.

Not a problem, I've had the same shitty Salomon carbon/fiberglass poles for 3.5 years, and they're fine. Mine are heavier cuz they're significantly cheaper than good carbon poles, but no big deal.

ya before i went through 3 or 4 pairs a season, then i got some and theyve actually lasted a whole season so it saves money

composite poles are kickass, they never bend or dent, and they are flexible as hell. Most places rent them out, so I just take a pair now and then, they are so much better than aluminum

i gots me some Kermas and they kick ass. i bend poles like you wont believe and i could only manage to bend them 4 times. they are race poles, but still work really well
i ride a 153 cuz im tiny, not cuz im gay. next year im getting a 165 or 169

Cheapy GOODE composite poles. They have over 800 days on them...no joke, had them for like 10years. I just got a new pair last year :)
