im thinking about getting some bc our hill is small and they seem convient to strap into and all, but do any of you guys use them and how do they ride and so forth
whats so bad about them. i have totally shit bindings right now and got them bc they were cheap so this will def be a step up but im just looking at them bc of the convienece of strap in is sooo quick. but do they come undone when you test the limits and stuff like in park or like reaction time and carving and shit bad about them...
i love flows, ive had the regular strap bindings and i dont like them because they hit a wicked pressure point that makes them really uncomfortable but if i move the strap it gets worse cuz then i get no support, i like the flows because they have all over support, and the new ones are getting really light, just about as light as strap ones if not lighter, also they are mad nice if your riding with skiiers, but if u dnot like the flow idea burton makes a binding that lets u keep the straps on but u can take the straps off, go to their website and k2 of course makes the cinch which is flow and strap bindings combined i havent tried em but the idea seems solid
also^ i ride park and they are nice as long as u get the good ones, not the "all around" bindings, get the pro series which includes the fs fr and some other ones, ebay gives u the best deals, and for like backcoutry they rule because if u get stuck its mad easy to get out. idk all im saying, i swear by em, i really like what they make and the new nxt series is awesome
id take your boots with you to your local shop and test out all the other bindings in the same price range. ease of entry is good, but you want them to ride well more than anything, and if that takes an extra 30 seconds up top youll be thanking yourself on the way down.
yeah man thats why i want to get them bc all the people i go with ski and they get so pissed how they always have to wait on me and stuff also bc our hill is only 400' vert i was looking at the flow amp 9i think thats a good enough for like 60 park and 40 all over
Flows are solid bindings. They are super easy to use, and the higher end ones deliver amazing performance. THe only thing that could be a "downside" is that you have to tweak them at first so they fit perfectly, but from then on it's fine. K2 Cinch's are also very good, they have become lighter over the past few seasons (weight was my only problem with them) If Anti Autti can win the US Open on them, they cant be terrible.
the flow amp9i are prolly not gonna be up to par, most people say flows suck because most people get the mid level heavy bindings. I dont no, it all depends on how serious a rider you are
Flows are bad. 3 of my friends had them last year and the screws would always come lose. One of my friends could actually spin the whole binding around
dont get em. they may be easier but you cant customize where you want the pressure like traditional bindings just tell your friends to smoke a jay and chill for a couple more sec so you can ride properly
