Does anyone know if there is gonna be a skiing game for the xbox or PS3???
I know Shawn white is making a game with ubisoft but not sure if any ski game is coming.

SSX on TOUR, not very realistic but still very fun. and you can really slow down some of the moves so that they do look realistic and super steezy

Yeah thats out for ps2 xbox gamecube and psp. He said ps3 and im assuming he ment xbox 360. I'm thinking ssx will probably make a game for both of those (I hope at least). I know its not the most realistic of games but its definatly fun.

actually it might happen. at this past e3 there was a new company that is releasing two new action sports games for the ps3.on of g4tv's people was talking to a rep from the company asking about future titles and they said they were thinking about sports that have never been pursued like skiing,kayaking, mt biking and even BASE JUMPING(WTF?) so i dont know. its a possibility but i doubt any company that isnt in direct contact with a pro or someone who has expierience in the industry could nail it. it would be too much like the generic snowboard game. all we can do is pray

I think that there could be really good one. where you just started out with a pair of skis and it was your job to become a big name pro skier, and you would do this by wining comps and getting shots in magazines and doing some fillming. So you would first need to enter some local contests, and/or find a local photographer or videographer, and get shots from park, bc, urban and big mountain. And you did it day by day with comps coming up every other week or so. And you can make it so you become a pro bigmountain or park skier. Start out with local comps/photographers and film companies while working tords the bigger comps like US open and X-games and big film companies like poorboyz or TGR. So you could just practice for a comp one day in the park or go do a bc jump session, or go do a few big lines, and you would have to chose which comps when and when to do stuff. Also you can choose to move to places like Whistler or Mammoth, and you would use prize money get a house there or buy new stuff. Full indepth game.
Actualy I might try and get some of the nerds at my school to do something like that.

2. you basically described tony hawk underground. if a ski game turned out like that i would buy every copy myself and burn them all.
its a great thing to think about but it will never happen, or at least not in this current gen of systems, a ski game might get made but it wont be nearly as good as you described above. unless tanner and simon go into buisness with eachother and fund it.

there were rumors that amped 3 was supposed to have skiing but it didnt so im hoping amped 4 would. An amped style skiing game would kick ass. ^^the tony hawk style game also sounds like wicked fun.

to much hate for ssx on tour. if you stay away from all the monster grabs, and the gay shit on rails, you can make it VERY realistic. but it has to be your doing. i played it with a few guys on NS the o ther day, and forget about score and all that.. just shread for fun. throw switch ups on rails.. and truck drivers.. all the basic grabs.. flips etc. its really what you make it. if you make it realistic it is. however if you play how its intended its not at all. "oh shit did you see that huge switch 10 take a ski off and wrap it around you head 4 times and land! shitt. im trying that come december" ... my point exactly. like you can even do butters.. i dunno i think i had alot more appreciation for the game when i saw that anthony b. helped make it

god damnit i just went upstairs to play some ssx on tour and like the playstaionthing flasahes and then its just a blank screen its not working and i dont see any scratches and like my 5 year old crazy beaten up thps1 works im pissed i was geting siked to play w/e

NUTS, amped was soo much fun even with snowboarding. O well, I guess well have to wait for some new company. ^^^SSX on Tour is wicked fun if you slowdown the tricks. Like at the top of the mountain if you go towards the ledge you can do the sickest backflip ever off the ledge. You just slow down the spins by winding up one way and then spinning the other way. I have some siiiick backflips and some nasty 3 mutes.
