Wooden Rails, How To Hit Them

anyone know how i would go about hitting a wooden rail? what does it need? would it need to be waxed or anything first? umm, does it ned to be hit differently than a metal rail?

yea def if anything have most, if not all of your weight on your front foot. and sharper edges will make u slide faster too.

if ur good at regular rails than a sooden rail shouldn't be any different. however if you aren't toally comfortable than they are risky cuz they are just less forgiving if you make a mistake

Don't wax it because the people who own the rail might get mad and shoot you. The wooden rail in my profile was not smooth at all and had nails sticking up and everything...you'll bounce right over them. Or rip an edge out. It depends. Yeah, just keep your front outside edge up a little and you'll be fine...it's just like any other rail.

no edges wax, a planer works well for getting rid of bumps. be carefull.

Make sure it is really cold, like I skied a wood handrail, no wax, but it was mid winter and there was like 1/4 inch of light snow on it...
