ive skied them at least 30 days they are legit. mad durable made out of almost completly all metal. not to heavy no loose parts they can take a beating and keep on working never had to warranty a pair either. 07 color look sick too! ive got a pair of the blue ones sitting next to me right now.

Well I CAN say I saw a freind of mine who rides for 4frnt rocking Vist before 4frnt started paying em to put there graphics on them.... and they blew then like they blow now. As did the nordica bindings that where EXACTLY the same. People claim light bindings are good..... NAH, if there light that means there made with plastic, plastic breaks, when your bindings break, you blow out your knees. If the bindings where good people would have been using them BEFORE they where "4frnts". p18's kids there is NO alternative.
Why would you buy bindings from a company that makes shitty skis? Have we not learned anything from the whole LINE disaster?

yea nordica was based off of, or fucking close to marker...thats what i was thinking, wasn't sure though...and about the whole line ski analogy back there buddy...they're bindings did, and still do blow ass...because they were fully constructed of plastic almost...but in no way do their skis suck...and yea, p18's are for sure the way to go...good ass shit, as long as you go race stock...

Other alternatives are the Solly s916's and Mojo 15's and 20's.

But you must remember lighter skiers like me do not need race stock bindings. We can live with a bit of plastic.

Listen up, know-it-alls, 4FRNT's binding was originally designed by Nordica and was based off nothing except Nordica's original design (I don't know where you guys get this Marker connection, such bullshit).

The binding worked very, very well and had good test results. In fact, it beat out some companies that would make you very surprised.

What didn't work, was the ski/binding "system", or connection, Nordica was trying to implement. For those of you who don't remember, this was called Synergy. It was a faulty connection to the ski, and had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the fundemental mechanics of the binding.

While Nordica was trying to improve the Synergy system, they were bought by the Tecnica group, which, at the time, owned Marker bindings as well. Rather than continue with the Synergy experiment, Tecnica axed Nordica's binding program (which cost Nordica mucho, MUCHO dinero in R&D), and simply started using a Marker system on all Nordica's skis to improve Marker's market share.

VIST, which had been working closely with Nordica on their World Cup program, then bought the rights to the Nordica binding and began designing beefier versions for W.C. use. These bindings were highly successful.

4frnt, wanting to expand into the binding market, but having the common sense not to try and design a binding from scratch, was looking for proven technology, that could be tweaked to suite freeskiing. VIST had virtually no marketshare in North America, and decided to partner up with 4frnt to produce the Deadbolts.

The Deadbolts ARE different. VIST has worked very closely with the boys at 4frnt on perfecting an already outstanding binding. It's not a paint job, haters. It's a solid piece of equipment with proven technology that works.

One example:
Take the different 4frnt models - the 412, 614, and 816 (the names obviously referring to the DIN range of each model). The 412 and 614 are produced using the exact same chassis as the 816 team/"race stock" binding. What this means is each binding is constructed with the same metal components that make high DIN bindings so attractive and durble. No mas plastic. So you if you weigh 125 lbs., you don't have to get a binding whose DIN goes from 8-16 (which will rip your legs off) just to reap the benefits of the metal used in race stock bindings. Each binding is the same, except the spring ratio. Make sense?

You find me a binding company who has a 12 DIN binding that uses the exact same chassis as their race stock model, and I'll stick a banana in my ass.

That's the deal. And any other "theories" are bullshit.

Well Pep does not have a binding sponsor so he choses which binddings he wants to ride on, and he tried the deadbolt and did not like them. He is also not conected to any binding company so he is not going to be biesed against the bindings is he, and no 4frnt sponsored rider would say they did not like them would they. So the fact that he is not sponsored by 4frnt does not mean anything.

Oh and streangth comes with wieght. So you will be hard preesed to find a strong binding with out wieght.

the 120's toe piece is the p12/px12 toe piece so its plastic. i think (not sure) that there is more plastic in the heel as well. the 120 is supposed to be a kids race binding.

i work at a shop, and i have seen nordica bindings come in that looked like vists, and did my research and were the same bindings, atleast in appearance and from what research indicated, and that came from talking to reps and from calling the companies, i cant say whether the binding is good or bad, i've never used it but have heard good reviews

I'm using and selling Vist bindings since 3 years, my lasts are V614 Harlekin on 07 Gotamas in 197 used in full conditions, no problem they work great with their big Teflon plate. Some people had problems with smallest models (V311, V412) that were releasing a bit too easily apparently, a bit like Spherics. V816 have a backward release lock that is great for FS and FSBC, i really think Vist makes great bindings for freeskiing.
It's years Vist is making these and selling bindings for other manufacturers, it's easy as you can easily change the shells yourself and they just have to make new shells with manufacturers' names on it : Amplid, Stockli, Movement, Lacroix, Nava, etc... Check their website (http://www.vist.it/html/en/partners_bindings.php?p=19)and see the number of "partners". Recently there was Nordica in this part so maybe Nordica was provided by Vist and not the contrary... It's what i think !
FKS are not using the same frame that Axial bindings... The proof is... FKS Are perfect and and Axials are just useless fake plastic things.

wow looks like the nordicas and 4frnt are indeed the same design, which was kinda obvious by looking at them, but they probably are actually identical. The white and blue vist bindings look schweet.

and axials are fine bindings man I had look p10s for two years and nothing broke on them, I have axial 100s or whatever on my urbans which are working great, and I just got some axial power 140s and I haven't skied them yet but they look pretty solid. dont be such a binding snob you dont NEED racestock bindings unless you wanna hit them with a hammer or somethin. Or you are a crazy big mountain skier and need the din.
