Ski movies - whats better to watch

Do you think it is better to see a ski segment of absolute ridiculously outragesly good skiing , or a chill "i ski to have fun" type of deal with nice powder and jibs. - its like would your rather see a cab 10 or a mad steezy nose butter to 360, i think a good ski movie has to have a mix of both elements and in all different areas (i.e. park, big mountain, urban, bc booters).same thing with am movies and pro movies, sometimes going big just gets old, and you wan't to see more style than more trick, but overall i think style is way more important than whats in your trick book.
*(of course that is void if you can't edit for shit, the more creative the editing and the filming, the more the movie is enhanced, thats another reason am movies look awsome, and another reason everyone likes level 1)

I can say the same about park skiing. All you do is hit jumps (which are all about the same) and do tricks off of them, with the occasional rail.
But about the ski movies. Since I'm more into big mountain I like to see the biggest stuff possible. Sure, d-spins and rodeos off of 25 footers are cool to see once in a while, but I'd rather see a backie off of an 80 footer instead.

there's nothin better than watchin jon ollson throw it down in the big air. he's got it all mad steeze with a huge bag of tricks. i dont think its as fun watchin a sw butter 270 to rail if thats all the guy can do even tho it takes some talent

If you ski big mountain you would no it is not, I on the other hand have never done an urban in my life and hate watching movies full of it, because to me it is all the same. It is usualy a down rail or a double kink and they come up to it get on the rail and slide down, then some one will lipslide it, or maybe a 270 off, or a switch up on a double kink rail. It gets old really fast. and plus they are all shot from the same angle. So really it will be diferent for all of us. But I prefer movies that are the we are skiing for the fun of it. but they need to go semi big, this is why i liked the tangerine dream better then war. the skiers voice overs really added to it, onstead of it being the just a shocase of the best skiing on earth. One of the things I liked about it was that athleats got more then one segment and most segments were not just about one skier but a trip, probly why I liked Hit List too, except Ingrid Backstrom needed to be quite. she should not talk.

i like fun movies. many will disagree but i would rather see a cool butter trick or someone jib something than someone throw a ten. tha just gets boring. i dont care if a movie didnt have anything over a 9.

i can't really say anthing bad about big mountain, cause its another whole realm of prowess. here in the east the snow is rarely natural, and rarely good, thats why most of of ski park and never understand the big mountain scene, just like you don't understand the urban or park scene, but urban shots have been taken at different angles, watch the long story short trailer, and what do you think about bc booters??

Technine/Finger on da trigger make the best movies. Maybe someone in the ski industry should take note...

i must say insane shit is fun, but "skiing to have fun" is so much more entertaining and has way more replay value. because it keeps on giving that same fun feeling. this is why i cant wait for Jibopoly and Quick. both feel that way to me

I agree, too bad all I've seen are Warren Miller and I have no clue where to get others, other than at Sepp's, but their selection is wonky.
