Video Camera's and Skiing

I just bought a Sony Mini DV Camera and it's allotta fun. When I bought it, I knew I would end up skiing with it. Has anyone run into any problems on the hill: skiing or where ever else. My two biggest concerns are getting snow on it (falling or spray-up) and it getting stolen in the lodge. Tips/pointers? Has anyone had anything like the above?

As far as durability, it pretty much depends on the cam you're rockin'. I've got a Sony VX21** and I've dropped that in the snow a few times (ok, more like once or twice, but it was spring conditions) with no problems. With the lower end smaller ones (like the HC series), Sony is essentially trying to pack more electronics into a smaller shell. Just keep the shoulder strap on while on the snow and you should be fine.

yeah get a locker and take it out when you want to film.
