Crap.. ipod video Problem

so my ipod was connected to my comp and there was a power outage (got disconected wen said do not disconect don know if that is what caused the problem) not all my songs are mixed with my vids and it wont lemme play any of the vids
has this happend to anyone and does anyone know how to fix it

plug your ipod in, erase all the memory and let it reload all the songs. i forget the actual way to erase the memory, talk to apple about it.

or plug it into a wall jack. then plug it back into the computer. sometimes it has to do that to restart.

my ipo video wouldn't turn off for a day, it was weird. once it died i recharged it and it worked fine.

when it does that just hold the menu and center button for 8 seconds. it will restart.
