how old do you need to be to buy non-alcoholic beer? my mom says 21, I say any age as long as you have money. and why the hell would they even make non-alcoholic beer?
you don't have to be 21 becase I'm 16 and I bought one at a resurtant, but if a cop smelt you they would think it's beer. The one I had was alot more bitter then beer tho. But I would have it again.
Uh no, not quite. If by American beer you are doing the usual Canadian thing and generalizing Budweiser as the only American beer, then by all means yes it is. Realisticly, you probably haven't tasted a 1/3 of "real" American beer. Brewed in small towns and cities.
You must not have had Red Hook IPA, Sam Adams winter lager, Sierra Nevada celebration, Nah, I forgot all American beer is weak.
like my buddy Marr always says... "people who drink non-alcoholic beer dont like the tase of beer they just like to urinate."
the ironic thing is that all major beer manufacturers are required to pasturize (boil) their products, any one with even a bit of science or culinary knowledge knows that this will separate the alcohol from the rest of the beer (and make it go flat). large brewerys collect the pure alcohol that escapes during this process then mix it back in and force carbonate it prior to bottling (exactly like pop) aswell as adding preservatives. this is why i mainly drink micro-brew or home made beer, the carbonation and alcoholic content in these beers is a direct result of the brewing process and makes a far more complex and healthier beer
I know this because of many reasons, one being the funniest.
one time we told this kid it was real beer, convinced him to buy one, the waiter felt sorry for him, he was australian so that made it even worse, and then he still said he wanted it because the kid wanted to save some pride
so he got it, and then we look back into the kitchen and the aussie waiter is doing drunk impersonations and then pretending to find out it's not beer, and pointingt and laughing at the kid.
i worked at a grocery store (in the states) for 2 years when i was in highschool and i was also never told to check id for people buying non alcoholic beer. i even worked in a dry town so they ONLY sold non alcoholic beer at that grocery store. even after all 2 years there i never had an underage person come up and want to buy any.
As am I...i'd rather smoke than drink anyday, and some people like non-alchoholic beer for the taste, my Grandpa used to drink it cause he could have a few and still be good to drive and whatnot.
Try going to Europe and having their beer. It actually puts American and even Canadian beer to shame. (In comparison, it tastes like cat piss.) Also, my theory about American beer being that much weaker is concluded by the number of Americans that come to whistler, and drink Canadian beer like American and end up puking drunk in the village by 7pm, its sad. But yes, I managed to get a rise out of someone, mission accomplished.
Haha we did that to this girl. We filled a bottle of vodka with a tinnnnny bit of vodka for flavor, defintely not enough to get buzzed, and filled the rest with water. She acted soooo hammered after half the bottle was gone.
