I got a new puppy, shes's about 9 weeks old now and her name is Sugar. She is a Schnauzer(sp?). Anyways she won't stop fucking biting. And its starting to hurt. She has her quiet and calm times but then she starts gnawing on my feet and shorts, everything. I know puppies usually naturally do this but how can I stop this. She probably thinks she's just playing but people don't like it, obviously. Everytime she bites, we say "no bite." Soemtimes she stops. She knows what it means but is very stubborn. What other ways can I decrease the biting. And no, im not gonna smack her in the face. Any help would be appreciated.
When she does it grab her and gently lay her on her back. Hold her down and don't let her move for a minute or two. It shows dominance in the K9 world. Do it everytime and she'll get the message.
when she?is biting push her cheek(i dunno if thats wat u call it on a dog)into her mouth..so when she bites all she is doing is biting herself...i do this to my 120lbs lab
Sometimes my cats do that but they're just playing. Like I go to pet it and it starts to fight me and we have like wrestling matches where its my hand against the cat. Sometimes he breaks the skin and it sucks but its all fun and games
haha I love it when people use the word bitch in the proper context. Maybe you could get some anti bite stuff and classically condition her to stop biting. like if shes biting your feet sprey this stuff on so it tastes really bad or something. do it for a couple weeks or so so everytime she bites she will have to put up with the taste. get everyone in your house to do it, soon she will learn that biting you isnt good for her
yea i have 2 labs and when they were puppies i just pushed their cheek between their molars in the back of their mouth then they just bite themselves so they stop
