Yup, simple question... I want to know which events were the best in your area!
Not just which was the coolest/most money, but which events had a great vibe, and were overall fun as hell to attend!

Well there are only like 2 open events a year, a slope style at big sky and a slopestyle at great divide? And big sky does like a 3 weekend halfpipe jam thing but i didnt experiance that. There are alot of USSA comps but as for open comps is pretty slim pickins.

H-Town Shoot Out at Great D! It's a small comp, but you can't beat it. It's put on every year by BSBS, Big Sky Board Sports. There's always free shwag because honestly, Simon Elston is the man. It's fifteen bucks to enter and all the free red bull you can drink, and always a fun vibe. We had some awesome stuff thrown down in best trick, swicth nines and underflip five trucks by none other than Taylor. Fun event!

The bump-off is sweet! When else can you wear a neon one-piece, rock mogul skis, and get cheered on?

H-Town Shootout Showdown does a big air that could be cool if more people would show up. they have a good hill but usually like 5 people enter

Big Mtn does a slopestyle, but in all honesty our events around here suck.

The Moonlight spring run-off hase a style division going down the headwaters. Too bad Big Sky has only held like two extreme comps in its whole existence.

Big Sky needs to have a big mountain comp where you can only ski lines directly under the tram (the couloir would be off-limits, of course). THAT would be a fun comp to do!

there are only 4 skiable lines without a base rig. The Big, the little and two passages straight down the face. I would say the other side of lone peak, where the south summit snow field is would be sweet. The cliffs down the two sides I have skied (The big and moonlight) dont have are weak, at least not comp worthy. Compared to Snow bird or Crested Butte it would a joke.

Well if you got a bunch of locals racing down lines directly under the tram things could get fun. I know I'd be down with it! But as of now I'm planning on doing the Bridger Gully Freeride and maybe that one at Moonlight--conditions permitting on both.

I have been talking with PHD and Helly here in town and I think I am gunna try to set up a Back country booter jam, then Helly wants to do a Mainstreet rail jam as well, I think it would be cool to set up like a little street course on Main or something.

The freeride is great, kinda a shit show, he don't have to land shit to win, land a three off a decent hit and you got it. You could have like three guys ski the tram face at once.
All times are Eastern (-5)
