He goes into hiding in France usually, and only comes out for the X-games, his invitational and WSI occasionally. He's reclusive, so everyone always forgets about him during the season and then they all shit their pants when they see his segments in ski movies.

Also, we didnt see Candide almost at all this year, as on his practice run at winter X slopestyle, he 450'ed onto a rail and landed on a few ribs, which knocked him out of pipe and slopestyle. He would have placed top 3 in each of those had he not hurt himself.

I am not sure I have ever seen anyone go that big in a QP before, I am not sure anyone ever has.

Candide is on a whole new level of skier, one that I am not sure the sport will get to, or at least one that other athletes will be able to attain for quite some time.

Even Jon who goes huge, just doesn't go as big.

I mean that was just amazing. He has SUCH style too.

That was 05' X-Games (and the rib thing was fine by the Superpipe event, he then crashed his heel during trainings which was bad luck as he could have own the thing indeed, but that's sport), not 06'...
This year he placed 4th at the slopestyle/big air and missed the qualifyers in Superpipe.
