Curse my Irish skin!

I got the worst sun burn yesterday. My back and chest look like a lobster and I have blisters all over my shoulders. It hurts so freaking bad and itches like a mother! We dont even have any aloe vera to put on it. Anyone else have a nasty sun burn at the moment?

my one friend has like albino skin but he doesnt have red eyes so hes not albino. but when were just chillen durin the day out he has to put spf 45 on so he doesntr get burned. i have lighter skin but i dont have to put sun screan on inless im at the beach so at least im not him

I know how you feel man. If I'm in the sun for more than 10 minutes, I burn pretty bad.

my skin is naturally fair so if i dont wear sunscreen i fry in the summer. sometimes i tan well, sometimes i look more like a lobster

hehehe...yep, thats what i look like if i dont put on sunscreen. i went down to florida with the fam to visit some friends a few years ago..we went diving over a shipwreck (way sweet) and i forgot to put sunscreen on again (like re-apply). well, it was bad.

i had one in the middle of may. it didn't seem hot out at all and it was breezy. i was laying out for like 2 maybe 3 hours without sunscreen, and got soo burned. it hurt so bad when people would hug me i would like cry. i just put a shitload of lotion on it and it went away after a while and now its a sick tan!

I usually get  burned in the beginning of May and then thats the only time i burn all summer. Like this year i was at a rail jam in May. And we all got burned but that was my only time all summer.

it's the luck of the irish lad.  i can't even sit near wndows in my house without getting burnt.  spf 48 and 50 for me. kinda sucks since i'm like addicted to surfing/bodyboarding and i get over 50 days a year in the water. that's pretty much the only thing i like about wearing a winter wetsuit, because i only have to put sunscreen on my face.  sure i might not look so "cool" now, but i'll be laughing when everyone else has skin cancer, and looks like leather

I'm Irish and Scottish and yet I never burn...I just get tan as soon as I sit in the sun for a while. So much for having pale skin like my ancestors...

jea boyee same here...but i still burn now and again...in the summer i wear a shirt about 20% of the time(pretty much only dinner time and when i am at work/go out)
so i get tanned a little bit more than burnt...but i am still white as shit i dont get it.

im half italian, quarter irish. i burn if im out in the sun the whole day after not being out in the sun(like springtime) but other than that i just tan fairly quick

im scottish, and i never wear sunscreen... ever, and i just get super dark. my dads the same, he never wears sunscreen and always chills outside without a shirt on and he looks african american he's so dark

i had one this summer worse it was unbelievable it was so dark red, it ruined ny vacation and i couldnt move at all for a week i had to just sit on a couch covered in aloe with a fan on me

I remember my worst sunburn. It was about two years ago when I was a senior in HS...I was wearing some clearasil shit (which makes you burn really easily), and by the time I realized I was getting burned and put sunscreen on it was too late. The next few days my face got all scaley from the peeling skin. It was gross... lizzard-like. I wanted to skip school because it was fucking embarrassing, but I wasn't allowed.

That is exactly what i looked like when i got back from cancun and i didnt wear sunscreen for a day. I got blisters all over my arms, big ass ones also, and they all would pop and shit when i ran into stuff, it was horrible. The worst was when i first strated to blister, and i was wasted at the hotel, and i scraped a layer of skin off by skimming a door way, shit hurt so bad when i woke up

I'm Irish too and get way sunburnt... I've been such dark shades of red and gone into like mini seizures from being so burnt.


Heres some home remedies......

-Vinegar..... Get a wet rag and soak it in cold water and vinegar.... then put on back or whatever is sunburnt.... this opens your pores and allows heat to escape.
-Green Tea... you can mix it with the vinegar... not sure what it does but feels good and is good for your skin

Blend... Avacado, Cucumber, little yogurt, banana, and maybe moisturizer... and apply to burn..

I don't like store bought aloe because i feel like it traps heat in your skin
Trust me with these remedies though, I've been burnt so many times I'm going to the doctor friday to get my moles checked.
