Wireless connection messed up. need help please

i got a new laptop a week ago and the internet worked fine. it would connect with my router and would be pefect. now i try to connect and it says acquring network adress then says limited or no connectivity . and after that it says nothing and i cant acess the internet. so now im on someone elses connection just so i can use ns to help. thanks

try hitting the reset button on the back of your router. If that doesnt work then try unplugging the modem for 30 seconds then turn it back on.

unplugging your modem for a couple of minutes and restarting it is the foolproof method to solving this problem
