So I am sure there have been many a thread about this, but I thought I would start another one with a great story:

So I ski at this crappy mtn in virginia. The TP is pretty small and is only accessible by a j-bar. Anyway, one day there are about 10 of us on the park (fairly empty) when this group of middle school kids comes up on ski boards. First off, I am not a fan of ski boards. Are they good for anything? Anyway...
These kids start trying to go over the jumps. First off, they can barely ski, much less get anything resembling air. Second, they follow abotu 5 ft behind each other. This is where is gets good...
These kids decide they are gonna test their skills on a 15 ft tabletop with a fairly steep takeoff. The first kid goes up, and falls on the very lip of the jump, doing a complete split. Another kid, who is following five ft behind him, has to go flying off the side to avoid the first. He does half a lincoln, and lands on his face. I am in disbelief at this point, when the third kid decides to come flying down and crashes his ski tips into the kids head, who has just smashed his face into the ground. The 10 year old kid starts cussing up a storm, and wonders what went wrong.
I told them to leave because they couldnt even turn, much less ski, but only after laughing that one kid almost decapitated another with his lil skis. Good accidents, post here

i was going down a run at sunshine for the first time and was unaware there was a mandatory 20 footer which isn't big but i was not ready at all and just ate shit, it was cool. broke my pull in half and lost a ski for an hour

at blue mountain i was railing this long straight rail, and about 2/3 of the way the rail nutted me then my tips caught and i did a flip except my head (no helmet) dragged on the ground on the way around. It kinda hurt but i managed to have bad falls on a big kinked and big rainbow rail by the end of the day.

at blue (obviously eh?) me and my buddy shawn (raindier the lifty) were riding one day and he thought it was a good idea to hit the big table (at the time - it was the middle table in the big line when the park got good). he's not the best boarder but he can handle is own and this table was like 45ft or so with a nice smooth kick on it... he came about 10ft short, bounced over the knowl to about halfway down the landing on his ass... it was the funniest shit i seen all year. he lost in rock, paper, sissors to who was gonna gunnie the jump...

i saw a gay racer skier with a one piece suite on and like 220 cm skiis once and he hit a jump, tottaly cased it and his pole like stuck in the ground b4 he came down and his nuts like landed on top of the grip of the pole so he stabbed himself in his package. he cried until ski patrol came and carted him away. i could hear chuckles coming from the ski patrol guys as they went over to him it was pretty damn great.

i had a couple good ones this year
1.)year was starting out on our small mountain and they were blasting snow. temperature wasnt too good though so they were blowing snow as sticky as wood (i didn't know this at the time) took a bomb run to get down quick and hit a sticky spot. lost my skis instantly and went head first into my pole. i broke my pole on my nose. and i broke my nose. i was gushing blood the rest of the way down after the nice ski patrol sprayed me.

2.)At loon i had a few too many red bulls during lunch. after lunch on the first jump, i went for a 7. the mixture of me being off the walls and the shitty landings at loon by the time i got to 450 i was already past the landing. i got scared and opened up. i landed 630 edge down on flat. saw swirly things and forgot how to do the trap rail.

3.) once again, the wonderful jumps at loon. i did a 3 over the 40 footer, and there was another jump with an equal takeoff, so i thought, doesn;t look too small. i 3 and land way past the landing face first scraping some skin off of my hip. (i have a big scar from that one.)

we wont talk about rails now

this was after a mountain dew/red bull combo drinking contest:
my friends and i went into the park after lunch (and the contest)and there was a rainbow rail. i suck at rails and had never done a rainbow but my friends said it was easy to do a switch up from one curved part to the other. so i tried it and instead of doing a 180 i did a 270 and nuttered my self backwards

i ride a 153 cuz im tiny, not cuz im gay. next year im getting a 165 or 169

In PA we always get people in the park who cant ski at all. This one time, i was gonna hit this little table that was more like a roller. So i'm goin in getting speed up and this girl cuts me off. I turned left really quick and hit the jump anyway. I threw a big safety over her and landed. She rode onto my tails and we both fell.

when i get the chance ill upload a 12-14 foot pipe air to flats out of a 18 foot pipe, completly missing the tranny, bassicly 20 feet to flat...ouch, my knees died.

Here's a good pipe one. It was the end of the day at Kirkwood and the legs were pretty much jello. I decided to make one more pass thru the pipe. I had been getting a good 6-8 ft out off the first hit so I decided to step it up a little. I went up and everything seemed fine, however, when I came down my tip caught the edge of the deck and sent me head first 18 ft. down the wall and I proceeded to land on my head and roll out a onto my back. When it was all said in done, my back was pretty messed for about a month.

I saw this when I was riding up the Brooks Chair at Stevens: This like 40yr old guy in a red one piece suit decided to hit one of our 2 huge wedges (the waterfalls by the lift). So he has some pretty good speed, but once he went off, his arms and legs were flailing everywhere...lol his face hit the landing first, then his skis dug into the snow. He ragdolled it down the rest of the way. Everyone on the lift was laughing and giving this poor guy shit. But hey it was still funny

i was told i had the funniest crash all year, even tho i landed, it was after a 'tree run' and i was out of it so i came up to a table with no speed and popped as hard as i could, i shorted it by about 6 ft but i kneed myself in the chin and almost broke my jaw, it was funny because i came down and i couldnt move my jaw so i was bleeding from my chin saying, without moving my teeth, 'that fuckin hurt' everyone just started laughin and makin fun of me

The worst i've ever seen was at the canyons. We were there for a big air, and we were just sessioning the park. I saw all of this stuff from the chair. Some snowboarder hit the 30 foot table and cased it like 20 ft short. He ate shit and was getting up. Some skiers, comes hauling ass in switch(you can't see whats on top of the table), and the guy gets half of his half-cab around and clocks the snowboarder in the shoulders. They both launch like 10 more feet into the landing. The skier gets up to see if everything is alright, but the snowboarder had already started to ride away in total shock. It was a pretty disturbing site. When i think of this, i actually think of the most horrific crash i've ever seen. The snowboarder in jackson went off our 50 ft. table, (the guy was hauling balls into the jump) he did a half backflip, cleared the knuckle by about 20 feet. he dropped about 30 to 40 onto his head with no helmet. I was about 20 feet away from the landing and i was the first person to get right next to him. I thought he was dead. Luckily, the guy who had gone off before him and crashed was an emt, so he took control. The guy didn't start breathing until we got the snow out of his mouth. Then he started moaning and wanting to get up. Then he started yelling for someone to get their knee off his back, and someone was only resting their hand on him. Luckily it was a spring day with soft snow, or i think he might be dead right now. That shook me up pretty bad, i didn't throw anything for the rest of the day.

yesturday at big White tring to straight air over the 20ft spine snow was a bit slow came up short double eject to face plant half dislocated my shoulder and bloody nose and cut up chin pretty sore today

i went this mound of snow doing a tail press and when i got to the top i popped and it threw me off balance,i landed on flats and my right hand ended up in front of me,all of a sudden i felt a sharp terrible pain on my testicles then it went to my stomach,my pole had jammed in the ground and got me in the balls and my pole snapped in 2,very painful

on the same day i mentioned before at blue, I also hit a huge table (the one on the right side) and i didn't make the landing and i hit so hard on the flats that i saw stars. killed my knees.

i split my legs on a Y rail and one ski went into each side of the Y and i ejected to front flip out and landed in the middle of the Y

early season my friends adn i built a fairly small jump. i was trying backflips but i'd spin so fast because we couldn't build a jump. anyways i was spinning so fast i'd hit my head on the lip of the jump and then crash.
yesterday at copper i was hitting a fairly large step up and i got it perfect 3 times but on the fourth i cleared teh landing and crumpled
tried a switch 180 off a beastly backcountry jump and caught my tip which made me start to go off axis and landed sideways hard

alright, this takes place at a small hill. I was in the park with a friend, this was when we just started doin rails. anyways we were there for about 40 mins and there were a whole lot of boarders just sittin there. they decided to go, but they wanted to do the rail before they left, the first guy goes and falls on his back and smashed his head, they laughed at him, second one goes and nuts himself on it(how the hell can you do that on a snowboard?) and the last guy goes and falls on his side tryin to 50-50 it, it was so bad, i even think like 5 mins before this people kept falling when they left. best day for skiers i know of

yeah nothing beats a boarder racking himself
i was at vail one time and my friend went and almost racked himself. however from the top it looked like he did. so this boarders says 'i love when skiers do that' anyways the next guy to go is a boarder who tries a boardslide but slips forward and racks himself. so i start to laugh and i say 'i love when boarders do that'

alright. worst crash ever. i was trying to get my ski boot on with my twisted ankle so i was hopping around our living room. i wasnt sitting cuz i did something to my tailbone and wouldnt have been able to get up. so anyway i then proceeded to fall over and my ski boot hit the cd case and our 300+ cds went flying all over our hardwood floor and then....i hit my head, but i was only out for maybe a minute...good times, great fun

my most recent bad crash: me and a couple of my buddies were building a huge kicker at stratton, on a trail called lower wanderer, yes it is a green circle but there is this one like 60 foot dropoff then to flat again, but anyway, we were hitting this jump all day cuz the lines sucked and we just felt like airin it out, so everything was goin fine until the last jump of the day, where i decided to hike up extra far to get massive air, bad idea, i straightlined to the jump, had wayyyy to much speed, spun the sickest 720 mute, overrotated a little, and overshot the whole landing hill even though we set the jump 20 feet back from the ledge, the end result, a severe concussion, busted nose, bruised ribs, nasty cut on my lip,(sooooo swollen) and not to mention i knocked the wind out of myself for 5 minutes, yea, a pretty nasty fall.

it would take to long to tell the story, but i shatered my femur, and ripped my femurel artery to peices, i got to ride in a helicopter, 10 monthes non weight bearing and 12 monthes no skiing, it's fine now though

Haha, at kicking horse this year. Me and my friend were going down these nice runs near the bottom of the hill so we weren't expeccting anything much in the shape of drops or anything. Anyhow, we are going like full steam ahead when I realise there is this huge like drop into a small pit right after the slope. At this point I was like 2 metres away from it so I juust flew off the edge going full speed and tried as dearly as i could to make it without going down in the meat wagon. I hit the uphill of the pit and my face went flying into the snow. My goggles cut me and it was funny shit. Then my friend came right behind me and did the smae thing. A few hundred metres later the same thing happeneed somewhere else. This time however, I popped as hard as i could and barely made it accross. Needless to say, I was scared witless. A few hours later that day we saw some other guyys do the smae thing and then they put up blue poles to make sure no one did it anymore.

Another day last year, in lake louis, it was my first time ever skiing pow in my life (im from the east) SO i decided taht i would try a diamond bowl (first run that day, first day that holiday) and I guess I tried to ski the powder the same way I ski groomed, haha. Didn't work out too well, I caught an eedge or something or juust couldnt turn and then it got steeper. So i was trrying as hard as i could to stop or turn but I couldnt. And iit was a steep slope and I was goibg straight down with no signs of slowing down. At that point I decided to ride it out when I noticed there was a mogul field a 100 or so feet down. I hit the first mogul and went flying. It was the best yardsale of my life. I actually lost a pole and spent a while looking for it before just buying a new one. All my stuff was scattered in like a 20 metre radius of eacother. Good stuff:)

I was trying to learn how to land switch, adn i hit our big table. I spun the 1, and i dint have my din cranked up enough. When i landed, both skis popped off, and hit me in the face. One knocked me out, the other gave me 7 stitches above my eye. Best video section ive ever been in.

getting cut off by a snowboarder grom, hitting ice, losing control and slamming into a wooden utility pole unpadded next to a ski hut...led to a torn acl, medial meniscus, sprained acl and mcl in the other leg, concussion, and ended season in january.
earlier in this season overshooting a table by ten or so feet..scaring the shit out of myself and getting a bloody nose and black eye

Mine is really horrible cause its the dumbest thing... My first run of the day, snow was great, so i hit a tabletop switch, it was maybe only 20 feet long, but i caught my tip on the takeoff cause i tried to spin too soon, i didnt get any air whatsoever, just fell right over onto the deck of the table, pretty much like skiing into a wall... a few runs later, after skiing the park a little, i couldnt breathe, turns out i collapsed my lung, and skiing those few extra runs made it that much worse

yestrerday at jay peak i was riupping down the northway going like just about as fast as you can go on that slope and i was suppose to turn fairly sharp but it was all ice in the morning and i have no edges on my concepts so i slide across the enitire run hitting into the fence. instantly stopping me and giving some whiplash pretty bad. broke my helmet. didnt seem bad untill i thought if there was no fence there i for sure would have died.

A couple years ago in Panorama before the terain park opened up I was skiing a run I hadn't hit before and saw what I thought was a kick ass jump. I haul up to it, and as I'm just hitting it, I realize that it is a tree stump that some how had enough snow packed onto it for a few people to ski over it prior to my arrival. I'm not sure how they skied over it because it was basically a 3 ft high wall of snow with no tranny into it at all. the lower half of my body stopped. I supermaned over it and landed on my head. minor concusion and two poles that somehow got bent to hell.

Lately I've 180d a 45 footer, but landed on the nuckle and double ejected and flew a good 10-20 ft through the air on my back. good times

How does Taco Bell shrink mini-ninjas, hide them in the bean burritos, and then cue them to kick my insides out approx. 2 hours after eating?

A ski popped off when I was craving in some fresh snow and the boot then got caught in the snow and I went flying only to be stopped by a rather large tree.

I did a flat spin five in the superpipe about four feet out only and landed flat bottom the impact hurt so much i almost passed out. I felt sick for like 5 minutes and thought I was gonna throw up. Worst feeling I had all year skiing. My legs felt like rubber too cause somehow i stayed on my feet when I landed flat.

i was ripping down this run hauling ass at alta and i guess they closed it off but i didnt see so anyway towards the bottom of the run it opened up so i just started to straight point it, and as soon as i do that i see a cable tied across the run about boot high. I couldnt even do anything or make an attempt to get out of the way i was going so fast, so i hit the cable and fly way forward blow out of both my skis and cartwheel so hard 5 or 6 times and blow out of my hat gloves goggles poles and skis. I woke up with a broken wrist and mild concussion, it actually wasnt to bad of a crash but i bet it was funny looking from the lift one guy was just yelling 'OH GOD OH GOD NO'

at killington two seasons ago me and my buddies were comin down superstar to get to the park. it was at the end of the day and all the fresh snow had been sloughed off leaving about 3 inches of snow and deadly ice beneath it. we were flyin b4 the mogul fields and i caught some sort of weird edge out of nowhere(on the ice beneath i think?) i instantly double ejected and was slammed into the ice within a split second. and i flipped and cartwheeled about ten times a good 50 feet down the slope. i blacked out for 5 minutes my friends said. once i came to i was in crazy pain cuz i dislocated my right shoulder from the initial impact i think. i also got 5 stiches on the inside of my mouth and i broke four fingers. bloddy nose too. if i hadnt had my helmet on i dont think that i would be typing this right now...
