Okay, this is not for me, but for a friend of mine (girl) that is going to buy skis for this winter. I am supposed to be helping her find some good skis, but I have no idea what good women's skis are. She is an average skier, no black diamonds, but also not greens, so I guess mostly blues. Also, she doesn't ski park, so no park skis, unless they are good for all-mountain skiing. Any types of skis I should be keeping an eye on? Thanks for any help.
Well if shes not sking park or anything find a nice womans carving ski and make sure you get lifters to make carving easier. Look at rossi they have good skis for that.
well id say the armada arw but sence you did say not park ski why not go with a oversize race ski. They carve easly and have intigrated binding mounts with riser's built in. That way she had a ski thats not super stiff (the over size series is more or a junior race and therefor softer).
sounds like she is an intermediate skier... she should get a carving ski. that will help her improve her skiing and get really comfortable on snow/skis. rossi and salomon have a shit ton.
ewwww why not just get twins, they are still mad fun to ski around on and if she isnt a very serious skier she wont be demanding too much performance out of whatever she gets, and that way as someone else said it keeps her options open. One of my friends last season bought some sweet volkl carving skis, and it sucked cuz after a couple days he kept goin down the park with us and with his skis all we could teach him to do was slide boxes and do 3s. He was so desperate he even tried skiing his carving skis switch which actually kinda worked thanks to our glorious east coast ice. but yea, TWINS! k2 missdemeanor, line shadow, or i think rossis girl scratch whatever it's called.
kinda sounds like my girlfriend. she has some K2 one luv's or one of those luv's there's a whole line of them. They are pretty much a carving nontwin, with some adjustable marker binder system already mounted on them. Pretty much perfect for her since she doesn't ski park or pow and only gets out like 20 times a year.
^yea i guess for non twins those are nice, a girl i ski with sometimes has some I think they're the burnin love ones, not sure though. they are super nice. My first vote would still be twins though
Thanks for the ideas. She actually said that she wouldn't mind park skis so then she could possibly learn park latter. I told her that park skis are good all around skis, atleast they'd be fine in the Midwest. So anyways, I was thinking of showing her the Miss DEMEANOR's, Shadow's, and Sratch FS's. Thanks for the advice.
