Worth the upgrade?

I'm getting a macbook pro with the educational discount....should i upgrade to logic express, final cut express hd, and aperture for $149? I'm going to be using it for a lot of photo/video editing....so i'm thinking it's probably worth the upgrade. how much better is final cut than imovie?

go for it, you won't be disappointed. final cut is lightyears ahead of imovie, is that even a question?

It will be way more advanced then imovie, but not that bad to learn.

and aperature is fucking awsome, go for it.

definately get final cut, a little more confusing, but once you start figuring it out theres more cool stuff you can do imovie is quite limited. if you are really gonna be doing a lot of video editing with it you'll be disappointed if you dont go with finalcut.

yeah, i helped teach a class where iMovie was used this week, and while it's way easy to pick up, I feel like Final Cut is way more effective and doper, after just watching my friends edit with it. bear in mind that i had never used either program before this week.
