Converting Files

Does anyone know how to convert quicktime files to windows media files? When I load videos from my camera onto my computer, they always come up quicktime. thanks

oook heres what you do
go to windows media player and then under "tools" click on "options"
after that click on "file types" then click "select all"
this makes windows media your default media player, so you dont have to worry about converting files

or instead of clicking on "select all" just pick the file types you want windows media to be teh default player for

sorry, what i meant to ask was if my camera brings the files up as quicktime on my computer, how do i go about using them with windows movie maker?

File > Import Files or something like that. Is it a still camera? Cause those compress the video weird and might not work in wmm.

well its a digital camera with video capabilities. I just mess around with it.

If it doesnt use a tape you probably will have to use the software that came with the camera. I don't really have much experience with that stuff though.

i had a kodak easy share and i had the same problem. you cant just open it in to wmm, you need a file converting program. just go to www.download.com and type in video converting program or something like that
