i'm doing lake louise next year.. the park is sooo flowy and the big mountain riding is always sick because its so cold you never get the melt/refreeze cycle that coastal mountains are prone to, so the snow stays soft for a long time after a dump. the lake louise park is solid as well, if its good enough for eric hjorliefson its good enough for me
louise is also close to sunshine which has good snow for pretty much 98% of the season, and within driving distance to kicking horse, definitely close enough for daytrips.
if louise was anything like this year the park wont be up till like the last 2 months if they even have a park and they didnt have a pipe this year. Theres was talk about not having one. One a sunny day though with good snow theres nothing like skiing at the lake
