i had surgery on my thumb. 5 screws, a plate, and a pin. the funny part was that afterwards i was super stoked cuz i was still drugged out when i woke up and i was super happy
Nerve reconstruction on my pinky, 6 years old
Binine tumor removed radioactivly, 15 years old
All 4 wisdom teeth out, 15 years old
acl reconstruction, 16 years old
Well I just had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed today. It went really well actualy althought I'm really fucked up on percs right now. haha so pain really isn't an issue right now.
But i've also had my tonsils/adnoids removed when I was in elementary school. As well as surgery on my knee to clean up a slightly torn meniscus. Everything went really well everytime. The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center here in Pittsburgh definitely kicks ass.
I broke my finger and didnt tell anyone until it was too late(well i didnt think it was broken). Then i went to the doctors and they're like its healing wrong so we are gonna have to break it again. So I had surgery for them to open up my finger, break the bone, and put in some kind of pin so that it would grow right. They actually put me completely under for it cause i was like only 12. So afterwards I have this huge arm cast that goes up to my elbow just for a broken pinky. It was pretty embarassing telling my friends that i only broke my pinky. Like I said stupid surgery.
i dont know if you would call this surgery, but i broke and dislodged my wrist(about 90%), i went to 2 hospitals becasue one didnt have the shit to fix it, so like 3 hours after messing my wrist up they finally give me morphine and put me out and i wake up to this huge plaster cast along my entire arm. And i was tripping from the spongebob square pants posters on the walls.
acl reconstruction this march
and in the same surgery they tried to fix up my meniscus
umm i had glass in my leg when i was little so they had to get that out.. i guess thats not surgery but whatever
and i had a blocked tear duct when i was in kindergarten.. i had like 4 operations before they fixed it..
i broke my wrist playing baseball, and was told by the trainer it was a sprain...after 6 months i decided a sprain should have gone away, so i went to the doc, and found out it was broken. non-union of the scaffoid bone, right underneath the thumb. went to sleep, they put in a pin. when i woke up i took some percoset, but had an allergic reaction, so they gave me some morphine, and that was FUN as shit!
ACL MCL and meniscus reconstruction, well the meniscus was mostly just cut out. Was supposed to have shoulder surgery but they said it would hinder my playing so i havnt.
I had knee surgery at 7. It was a snow day so we had the day off school (don't get snow here very often) me and my brother were outside building a run in with a jump at the end of it on our lawn. theres a concrete area outside the basement that had ice and then snow ontop of it. I left the rake we were using prongs up on the concrete. Came running back out of the basement, slipped, 3 prongs of the rake into my knee. My brother pulls the rake out of my knee and carrys me back up to the house. Spend the next in hopsital eating jelly and icecream :-D. The surgery was drilling 2 more holes in my knee so they could get stuff in to clean all the dirt and bacteria out. So yeah always put the rake prongs down.. I do!
i had my acl reconstructed back in november and it SUCKED. i feel so bad for anyone who's had knee surgery more than once. its definatly something i wouldnt want to do again
