does anyone have any suggestions for taking the bindings off of my skis? Im trying to get them off to send them in for warranty, but they're cemeted in there like hell. I tried a cordless drill and its only stripping the screws. Is there any alcohol or anything like that, that might maybe loosen the glue up?
use a bit with a wider point, it reduces stripping, i have bindings that have been mounted and unmounted around 4 times and the screws are still in perfect condision, instead of a drill, try just a srew driver, and pacients is golden.
If you stripped the screws then you're..well...you're screwed. And yes, I went there. You should've had the shop do it though, now you'll have to take them in anyway and they'll be pissed off at you. The worst customer is the one that tries to do the work themselves and messes it up.
yeah, i had the same problem when i was remounting a pair last year. Too much epoxy and the screws just got stripped. Fortunately, my dad had a bit for stripped screws, and he got them out, but it wasn't very pretty.
Use your teef! haha jk. Did you strip only one screw? or all of them? If you only fucked one up you can take the other screws off and spin the binding (pull upwards)till the screw comes out.
