last year i taught my girlfriend how to ski and she loves it. shes looking for skis for a semi-beginner and wants to know which ones she should get. any suggestions?
salamon has a whole line of girls skis coming out next year(same specs jsut diff graphics), arw, line celebirtys, rosignol has some girls coming out next year too.
My 1st skis were the K2 Fujatives (2004) 159's - and this past season was my 1st season. They're good skis, I'm 5'6" and 127lbs, so not too much for me to handle, but not so short I wouldn't advance. I want the 2008 Shadows, but only for looks. :)
Tell her to get last season fugitives they are just as light as the girl skis, really easy to ride and cheap so if she loses interest she hasn't invested that much cash. My problem with all of the girls skis are their graphics are terrible. Just because we are female doesn't mean we want to ride on something that has a guy with no shirt(last yrs aramadas) or flowers or rainbows, it is really annoying! I have the fugitives and I love them!
thats what I was thinking. There is also the line skis to consider and the salomon womens skis that are coming out for next season. I am deffinatly a strong suporter of armada and they have a wood core opposed to the salomon foam so I would say go for that
all teh rossignol scratch fs skis are good becasue they are smallish and easy to handle adn also not that expensive. ANd maybe for her first pair she shouldn't spend a shitload of money in case she doesn't like skiing anymore or doesn't like the skis
i used those skis last year and would totally recomend them to anyone. they'd be extra good for a beginner because they're light and not waying you down. you should totally go with missys
Rossie Scratch FS- def. a good ski, intermediate level and yes, great flex, most of the Line chick skis are pretty good in terms of a semi forgiving flexible ski
i like the idea of prophet 130's, i wish my boyfriend would buy me some of those. *sigh* anyway, this year i got the men's scratch bc wrs and i absolutely love them. they are perfect for me. but i would say im a little stronger than the average girl, just by nature, i'm not burly by any means, but more of an athletic build. i love those skis. I was debating about the women's bc or the nancy, but in the end i decided that they were both too noodley for me. i'm so glad i went with the wrs. they rock. if i could marry a ski, it would be those.
