i was just reminiscing about skiing some nice bowls at whistler this year (harmony in particular for those of you who know), and thinking about my shitty form. now, before you criticize, let me tell you that after a 10 year break (thanks, stupid snowboarding), this was my second season back on skis. i live in NYC, so bowls aren't exactly plentiful out here.
anyway, dropping off the lip was fine, but when things flattened out, i found myself riding mega backseat. like so much that my tips were coming out of the snow. i honestly felt like a retard, but didn't think i could get out of there any other way.
what is up with this and what is the correct form when skiing 10 or so inches of powder?
