Ok, im gonna tell you guyys all my concepts for the game. First of all, havnt you guys noticed how all computer games the moves cant have much style cuz they are so programmed and it cnat be original. Well this could have two features i came up with that would add your own style to it.
First you could have like a tweak joystick, like the secondary joystick could be to tweak your grab. So you push down on the grab button and then tweak it in whichever way you want with the joystick. You could even change the tweak in the middle.
Second there would be like an 'invent your own grab' area. Like in mario64 where you could click on his face and it would move. you could do that but with the skiers body and then save the grab and assign it to your characters.
There would also be butters and reverts and presses out of them as manunals if they could make that look nicee and stylie.
like my ideas?

yea i came up with a bunch of cool ideas for a game too. first off you should be able to do both stylely spins and hucked spins. second the game should be realistic unlike most other extreme sports games. you shouldnt hit a jump and over shoot the landing 300 feet and land into grinds and stuff like that. they should make it so you can do cool tricks and land on the landing at the same time. and also you shouldnt be able to do mistys off the ground like in JMMT and snowboarding games

you know whats hilarious? there have been games made after fake sports, like AIRBLADE. gaming companies are willing to make up new sports as an excuse to stay away from having to make a skiing game.

there should be an urban jib mode and you can set up an urban jib in your town. Like you control the method of speed, the jump height, the rail speed the lighting and you have to make it look good for some photographers for a magazine and they give you money and you can hit up the shop and buy new equipment. It would be tight

there has to be like real mountians like mammoth and their parks and pipes and wistler and also like back country heli shing and you can build your own jumps and stuff like that
real stunts should happen not the jmmt like every one else said
we should take the best ideas and make a long essay and send it to them and change it and send it under a diffrent email and just keep doing that

yea, i e-mailed them and they replied saying there are no plans for a ski game at all right now... i was hoping they were at least contemplating it, but they haven't even put any thought into it yet, which is bullshit.
and what we need is amped but with skiers. all that not landing in a grind and making the landing is impractical. it's a video game not a controlable ski movie. don't expect the world out of it if they ever do make it... expect the same as snowboard games.
and the whole hucked and smooth spins things is retarded - it's a video game, so it will be based off pro skiers, pro skiers don't huck, so the video game shouldn't either. again - it'll be a video game, not a controlable ski video.

i agree with mike hunt (haha that sentence sounds funny) i think amped is ill! and if u ahd that game where u would just clear the tables, that would mean u would ahve to get the perfect speed and chances are, you would case or over shoot anyway, and if its that realisitc on a big table, casing and over shotting could seriously injur u, so u would be out. i think it should be exactly like amped, cuz u set which way u want to throw and its ILL! haha still laughing about my first sentence on this post though, hehehehe

I think activision (or any other gaming company) should see videos of pros they can put in their game. Kids like extreme stuff, and if they see skiers clearing 110 foot hips, actually airing 20+ feet out of the pipe, and doing the craziest rails ever, maybe they would think about it because most of the games out there these things aren't possible and for skiing it would be. We also should have a pro talk to companies, not just us, but someone we all look up to. We need authority of our sport to do some of the talking, just not mosely because he already messed up once. I think for spinning, they should have wind-up meter things like in dna spin where you set up the spin before the jump so you can program your exact spin speed, and still be able to stop when letting go of the stick. A tweaker would also be sweet. And also, after overshooting or casing, it should temporarely bring your stats down like in real life.

amped is definatly the way to go, but what they should do is have a good selection of skiers, but don't limit them to 1 ski. For example, lets say you have tanner hall, he could ride some Ar5's, Arvs, or you could put him back on rossignol, or hell, even line. That way you could get a good mix.
Also, the trick tweaking idea is a good one, in JMMT it was gay because it looked like the skier was on a track in the air, it needs to be free flowing.

O.K.... i definetly think amped was a good game but i hated how it was extremely easy to clear table tops. I think they should put it so you need a lot of speed to clear it, and if you have too much u overshoot, too little you come up short and stuff like that which has already been mentioned. And plus, espn winter x games 2002 had the best create a border thing ever, you like had to make your way up to the x games.... Aw well, what i am trying to say is i definetly agree with what all you previously said... we need a ski game.

ya I really sweet REALISITIC game would be sick! like on most snowboarding games there just a kicker and no landing. so u just launch off this huge kicker about 50 ft in the air the throw a triple back flip 1440 and land on the flats...thats gay

I know what could convince Activision to plan out a ski game. If we got Poor Boyz Productions to send Activision a copy of Happy Dayz, i'm sure that would make them realize how sick newschool skiing has gotten. Then they would get real interested, because i don't think they realize how awesome newschool has gotten.
