i'm trying to learn tramp backflips this summer so i can huck some on the slopes this year, but i keep thinking i'm gonna mess up and land on my neck or something, does anybody have tips that helped them learn
took me a while to get
first do like back summersaults on the actual material then work towards back handsprings and then i did it so i would flip really fast and do it like horizontally so my feet would fly around and id almost land on my knees kind of then i kind of did off-axis flips and it eventually turned into a backflip
sounds weird but it worked
Yea, ur very first time learning to flip on a backyard tramp just by yourself is kind of hard. You really really really just have to commit. It pissed the shit out of me trying ot learn cause my brother could. But I just went out and thought about it a lot and forced myself to get past my head. Basically my first flip was just to my knees or whatever.
You can try to get the fear of flipping a notch down a bit from doing backdrops to backflips. Just kind of for the feeling of going back. But other then that. Just gotta do it.
try doing them into water first just to get the feeling cause if u land on ur neck in water nothing eill happenn to you so u have nothing to be afraid of then when u get comfortable with doing them into water do the exact same thing but on a tramp
hope that helps
start by jumping as hig as you can, land on your back, and bounce over your shoulder so its kinda like a back-drop to backflip. once you srate gettin more comfortable with that, get a friend or to (this will only work if your fairly small or have really big friends)so your jump and do a backflip and your firends hold one hand on midde of the back of your thigh and the other on your back. when you jump, they flip you over using the hand on hte back of your thigh but you have to commit to it too. once you get comfortable with that, just commit and you'll nail it like a dead baby to a tree
One thing to remember, when you jump off the tramp, don't set your rotation by pushing backwards with your feet, this will most likely throw you off the tramp. Instead, jump straight up, then roll your head back and bring your knees up.
yeah just jump straight up and hug your knees to your chest. i learned back flips in a moon bounce one of those inflatable castles theyre soo much fun to dink around in. to learn how to stick them do what that kid above said. jump up land on your back then whip it around on the bounce that way you have less of a chance of landing on your neck slash head. and when you throw them make sure to commit you will have less injury if you commit
look as far back as u can and eventally ull see the landing. then keep rotating till ur feet are landed. i learnt backflips before fronts cuz they are easy
yeah they are really easy when you can get them. But when i was learning them I SUCKED i could not do them for shit. What i did was I kind of turned my head to the left and just went for it and kinda just reached for my toes. Tricky probably wont help but good luck sir. They are fun now.
