student was 445 i believe before october 31...then it goes up...its good at roundtop also...which will have a sick park this year..and liberty will too!
fuck that it is $540 if you anit a full time student, and it is not worth it at all Roundtop took out their superpipe and thier exibiton park, a new park is going in where the superpipe was but that is a smaller area then what they had on exibition, and liberty and white taiol just suck period. save your money and go elsewhere.
Agreed with Worf. Whtietail has potential but the south facing mt is a big minus in the Mid-atlantic. Liberty is a crwoded nightmare with limited freeriding terrain. Roundtop could have been worth it but the have one small/crappy pipe and i seriously doubt they will give joe g the resources he needs to build a 'sick park' on recruit.
^^trust me i will be riding other places as much as possible. but for just normal weekend skiing i think it would be best to get the pass to whitetail since it the closest mountain to my house.
and another thing about the ridiculous price. last year i went to snowbird for a week so we bought season passes. it was only 109 fucking US dollars. and these shitty hills think they can charge 4 times that much for thier shitty snow and park. i cant wait till im old enough to move
wow i am actually going to defend the mountains herewho da thunk, the thing you have to remember is that midatlantic mountains (hills) have snowmaking expense that ohter areas of the country dont have. it cost about 800dollars an hour to make snow so do the math. but overall still a bit expensive, what pisses me off are places like vail that dont have that expense but still charge like 1400 for seasons passes. but yeah utah is cheap and so is tahoe, heavenly's season passes are only like 280 but there lift tickets are 72 a day go figure.
so heres how i see it, liberty made a real sick park this past year and i hope to see that continue, although their area for a park is very small and flat. Whitetail has the room but hasnt done anythig cool. Roundtop set the standards for parks 2 years ago then just had a bad season. To tell you the truth the new location for the park at roundtop is going to be sick. one wide straght shot. but we will have to wait and see how the weather treats us this year.
yeah i think having the park where the super pipe was is a much better idea because its wider and a little shorter. but it will also have a j-bar enless they took that down.
you get a free season pass now???? I thought you only ride for free if you work a certin number of hours a week? and ONLY AFTER you put in those hours??
a free season pass (the actual card) is issued to full-time seasonal and full-time year round employees. part time employees get to ride for free only when the amount of hours alotted by each dept. are reached by the employee
if you work there, you can ride for free, but you have to show up for the shifts you have to work in order to get your supervisor to write you out a lift ticket..
as far as the discount on a pass goes, i dont' know. i've never heard of anyone buying a season pass if they work there
