ok, i think i know whats up, but im still working on convincing my dad on what laptop to get me for college. he wants me to get a dell or a compaqu, or an h.p. i on the other hand want to get an apple. what do you all think. ready, debate!

dell sucks, compaqs are a joke, and hp is a pile of trash.

if your gonna get a pc laptop, get lenovo/IBM, or toshiba

macs are the titty - i just got the macbook pro 15 inch, and its fucking SICK!

yeah, im thinking just a black mac book, its just for calasses and shit. my desktop i built myself is my main hoe. it blows anything you can buy from anyone out of the water basicly.

alienware is dope if youve got 3 grand to throw into a system, most people dont. Dont buy Dell. You get what you pay for, a good processor/decent harddrive/cheap flatpanel monitor, and the rest of the components are no-name budget shit, plus dont EVER get an integrated graphics card. Toshiba and apple are good calls. Emachines isnt bad either, for the price theyre good comps with decent components.....or build your own:

yea if he has 3 and a half grand to drop on a system, not to mention that those computers are specificly designed for gaming so they wouldnt help much in class unless he wanted to waste his class time.
I have a apple and it was the best computer decision i made. I was unshure at first but now im sold on the mac system. I have had 15 applications running, multiple msn convorstions going, over 20 webpages open, ski movie running and my ipod was being updated all at the same time and it still ran fast. If you only want if for class's Id say that the macbook is all you need,  if you want a little more power id go with a mcabook pro. I plan on upgrading to a macbook pro as soon as i have the cash together (im on a ibook right now)

i wuoldnt get a mac unless you are doing pretty much only editing on it...that is what they were made for...that is what they are best for.

well it sounds like you will just be doing  word processing and like probably aim and surfing the web...no need for anything more than a macbook, they are beautiful creatures

r u fuckin kidding me!?!?1 dont send the kid off with an e-machine...those are straight up he shittiest computers u can buy right now...even my computer teacher said they're total shit(yes he said it like that), plus..they have a horrible service department...hell the dont even have one
