You deleted it?!?! Yes, there was a lot of ignorance flying around on it, but there were some good, fundamental arguments happening, too. Frankly, there is just as much ignorance going around on a lot of other threads -- they just happen to not be coloured by an anti-skier making the posts. Maybe if people had the opportunity to read the thread they would be able to see the deeper debate going on -- one that every skier should turn their mind to.
I suggest we all exercise our democratic rights and take a vote: who wants the thread back? (Surely it was saved somewhere...)
I vote to have it back!

Where is the line drawn though? I understand that newchoolers can give itself whatever power it wants, but how does that reflect to its members when the power removes their most prized possession -- freedom of expression??
We're all mature people in here. This forum isn't like the Freeze forum or the Poorboyz forum. I think all the members have been doing a great job so far in policing the threads, and can probably take care of any delinquents quite handily. I just don't want to see one or two people out there single-handedly deleting what many (or even just few) believe to be good threads.

Ummmm if newschoolers wanted to keep only the quality threads then many threads would not be around. Trust me there is a lot less censorship than you think. the main censorship that happens is changing the forum that a thread is in.. ex. Music threads in the ski forum.

i deleted it because it was an anti-skier making an anti-skiing post. i don't care what other disscussions were in that thread. if there's any thread that starts with anti-skiing i'm going to delete it. you don't like it than tell Harvey to take my monitorability (sp? and grammer?) away.

Yah, that's true..but sometimes an anti skier threads can turn interresting. People come on and post reasons why they like skiing and why the 'anti-skier' is wrong and whatnot. That stuff is cool to read...
it's the ones where people just start saying 'YOU'RE A FAG' that piss me off. or like that walrus 360 dude who just posted 'skiing sucks' in 15 threads. Those are useless.
